Confirm your role is USMCA-listed
TN admission is limited to occupations explicitly named on the USMCA professions list. Before applying to Holy Name Medical Center, cross-reference your job title against the official list and verify the O*NET occupation profile matches your duties. Misalignment at the border causes immediate denial.
Target clinical and allied health departments
Holy Name Medical Center's TN hires concentrate in clinical departments like physical therapy, medical laboratory, and nursing. Prioritize open roles in these units when searching, since hiring managers there are already familiar with issuing TN offer letters and supporting border admission for international professionals.
Request a detailed TN offer letter early
Ask Holy Name Medical Center's HR team to include your occupation category, degree requirement, job duties, salary, and intended duration in the offer letter. CBP officers scrutinize all five elements at the port of entry, and an incomplete letter forces you to reschedule your crossing.
Prepare credential equivalency documentation in advance
If your nursing or allied health degree is from a Canadian or Mexican institution, obtain an official credential evaluation before your border appointment. Some Holy Name Medical Center roles also require state licensure, so confirm your license is active and valid in New Jersey before presenting to CBP.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified TN openings
Searching broadly wastes time on roles that won't qualify under USMCA. Migrate Mate filters listings specifically for employers like Holy Name Medical Center that support TN admission, so you can focus your applications on positions where the offer letter process is already understood by the hiring team.
Plan your TN renewal timeline with your employer
TN status is granted in up to three-year increments and must be renewed before expiration. Coordinate with Holy Name Medical Center HR at least 90 days before your current status ends to ensure a refreshed offer letter is ready, whether you renew at the border or through a change-of-status filing with USCIS.
Holy Name Medical Center TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Holy Name Medical Center sponsor TN visas?
Yes. Holy Name Medical Center hires Canadian and Mexican nationals in USMCA-listed healthcare occupations and issues the offer letters required to support TN admission. TN is treaty-based admission under USMCA, so Holy Name does not file a petition with USCIS on your behalf. You present the offer letter directly at the port of entry or U.S. consulate.
Which roles at Holy Name Medical Center typically qualify for TN admission?
Roles in physical therapy, medical laboratory science, nursing, and other allied health disciplines align with occupations explicitly listed on the USMCA professions schedule. Holy Name Medical Center's clinical and diagnostic departments are the most active areas for TN-eligible hiring. Confirm your specific job title maps to a recognized USMCA occupation before applying.
How do I start the TN process after receiving a job offer from Holy Name Medical Center?
Once Holy Name Medical Center extends a written offer, request a TN support letter that details your occupation category, required degree, job duties, compensation, and intended period of employment. Canadian citizens present this letter at a U.S. port of entry. Mexican nationals apply through a U.S. consulate and attend a visa interview before traveling.
How long does TN admission typically take at a U.S. port of entry?
Canadian nationals admitted at the border generally receive a TN determination the same day, often within a few hours if documentation is complete. Mexican nationals applying at a consulate should account for appointment scheduling lead times, which vary by location. Having your Holy Name Medical Center offer letter and credentials organized shortens processing considerably.
How do I find open TN-eligible positions at Holy Name Medical Center?
Migrate Mate lists verified TN-eligible openings and filters by employer and visa type, making it straightforward to identify roles at Holy Name Medical Center that support TN admission. Cross-check any role you find against the USMCA professions list before applying, and confirm with Holy Name HR that the position's job duties match your credentialed occupation.
How does TN visa admission work at Holy Name Medical Center?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Holy Name Medical Center, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
