Verify your role appears on the USMCA list
TN admission is limited to occupations explicitly listed under USMCA. Before applying, confirm your job title at Hospice of the Valley maps to a recognized USMCA profession such as Registered Nurse or Medical Social Worker, not just a related healthcare role.
Prepare your credential documentation early
Hospice of the Valley operates in a licensed clinical environment, so your state nursing license, credential evaluation, and relevant degree transcripts must be ready before your border or consulate appointment. Gaps in licensure documentation are the most common cause of TN delays.
Search Migrate Mate to target active TN employers
Not every hospice organization issues TN offer letters. Use Migrate Mate to filter healthcare employers by TN sponsorship history, so you're applying to organizations like Hospice of the Valley that already support TN admission rather than educating a recruiter from scratch.
Request a role-specific offer letter from HR
The offer letter Hospice of the Valley provides must state your USMCA profession category, your specific duties, your work location, and your wage. A vague letter citing only job title is insufficient at the border. Ask HR to confirm the letter addresses each of these elements explicitly.
Understand the difference between Canadian and Mexican TN entry
Canadian nationals present their offer letter and credentials directly at a U.S. port of entry without a prior visa appointment. Mexican nationals must obtain a TN visa stamp at a U.S. consulate first. Your entry route affects your timeline with Hospice of the Valley significantly.
Check prevailing wage using OFLC Wage Search
While TN has no formal Labor Condition Application, your offered salary still reflects the market rate for your clinical role. Use OFLC Wage Search to verify that Hospice of the Valley's offer aligns with the prevailing wage for your occupation and Arizona work location before accepting.
Hospice of the Valley TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Hospice of the Valley sponsor TN visas?
Hospice of the Valley supports TN admission for qualifying Canadian and Mexican professionals in eligible USMCA occupations, primarily clinical roles such as Registered Nurse and Medical Social Worker. The company issues the offer letter you need for your border or consulate appointment. There is no USCIS petition involved in the TN process.
Which roles at Hospice of the Valley typically qualify for TN admission?
TN-eligible roles at Hospice of the Valley are concentrated in direct patient care and clinical support, including Registered Nurses, Medical Social Workers, and certain allied health positions. The role must match a USMCA-listed profession and require at least a bachelor's degree or the applicable credential specified under the treaty.
How do I start the TN process with Hospice of the Valley?
Once Hospice of the Valley extends a job offer, their HR team provides a support letter confirming your USMCA profession, duties, wage, and work location. Canadian nationals take that letter directly to a U.S. port of entry. Mexican nationals use it to schedule a TN visa appointment at a U.S. consulate through USCIS guidance on the required documentation.
How long does TN admission take when working with Hospice of the Valley?
Canadian nationals entering at the border can typically receive TN status the same day their appointment occurs, assuming documentation is complete. Mexican nationals face additional consular scheduling time, which varies by location and season. From accepted offer to first day of work, most candidates working with an employer like Hospice of the Valley should plan for two to six weeks.
How do I find TN job openings at Hospice of the Valley?
Migrate Mate lists open positions at employers with confirmed TN sponsorship history, including hospice and home health organizations. Filtering by TN visa type and healthcare industry narrows results to roles where the employer already understands the process. Cross-reference any opening against the USMCA professions list to confirm your occupation qualifies before applying.
How does TN visa admission work at Hospice of the Valley?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Hospice of the Valley, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate.
