Match your credential to USMCA professions
TN admission depends on your role falling within the USMCA professions list, not just your job title at Inspira. Cross-check your actual duties against the qualifying occupations list before applying, since titles like 'IT Analyst' can qualify or fall short depending on how responsibilities are defined.
Request an offer letter before your border crossing
Inspira issues a support letter that you present at the port of entry or U.S. consulate. Confirm with HR that the letter specifies your USMCA profession, your employment period, and your professional credentials. Arriving without this letter or with a vague one causes preventable delays.
Verify your wage against OFLC Wage Search
Even though TN doesn't require an LCA, CBP officers increasingly scrutinize whether your offered wage aligns with prevailing rates for your role and location. Pull the current wage level for your occupation and region using OFLC Wage Search before your crossing to anticipate questions.
Target Inspira's health technology teams directly
Inspira's technology and software hiring concentrates in health IT, clinical systems, and infrastructure roles. Applying directly to these departments, rather than through general postings, puts your application in front of hiring managers who regularly work with TN professionals and understand the admission process.
Use Migrate Mate to find active TN roles
Searching broadly for tech jobs at health systems wastes time on employers unfamiliar with TN admission. Migrate Mate filters for employers like Inspira that actively support TN professionals, so you focus your applications on roles where your status won't require extensive internal education from HR.
Prepare your O*NET profile summary in advance
CBP officers use O*NET occupation profiles to assess whether your duties match a qualifying profession. Print or save the O*NET summary for your specific role before your crossing, and be prepared to explain how your day-to-day responsibilities align with the standardized occupation description it contains.
Inspira Health Network TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Inspira Health Network sponsor TN visas?
Inspira Health Network supports TN admission for qualified Canadian and Mexican professionals in technology and software roles. The company issues offer letters that TN candidates present at the border or U.S. consulate. There's no USCIS petition involved since TN is treaty-based admission under USMCA, not an employer-filed visa.
Which roles at Inspira Health Network typically qualify for TN admission?
Inspira's technology and software division is the most common fit for TN admission, covering roles in health IT systems, clinical software support, and infrastructure management. Your specific job title matters less than whether your actual duties align with a USMCA-listed profession. Roles that blend non-qualifying administrative tasks with technical work can complicate admission, so review your job description carefully.
How do I start the TN process at Inspira Health Network?
Once Inspira extends an offer, request a formal support letter from HR specifying your USMCA profession, your professional credentials, and your employment period. Canadian citizens present this letter at a U.S. port of entry. Mexican nationals apply at a U.S. consulate. You don't file anything with USCIS. The entire process moves through CBP or the consulate, not an immigration agency.
How long does TN admission at Inspira Health Network take?
Canadian citizens can receive TN admission the same day at the port of entry if their documentation is complete. Mexican nationals applying through a U.S. consulate typically wait several weeks for an appointment and decision. TN status is granted in up to three-year increments and can be renewed indefinitely, so long as you maintain qualifying employment at Inspira.
How do I find open TN-compatible roles at Inspira Health Network?
Migrate Mate surfaces technology and software roles at employers like Inspira that regularly support TN admission, so you're not spending time on positions where HR is unfamiliar with the process. Focus your search on health IT and clinical systems postings, and confirm during your first conversation with a recruiter that the role aligns with a USMCA profession before investing further.
How does TN visa admission work at Inspira Health Network?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Inspira Health Network, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
