Match your occupation to USMCA categories
TN admission is limited to occupations explicitly listed under USMCA. Before applying to Intuit roles, confirm your job title maps to a qualifying category like computer systems analyst, accountant, or engineer using O*NET to verify the occupational definition matches your duties.
Target Intuit's core engineering and finance teams
Intuit's strongest TN hiring concentrates in software engineering, financial analysis, and data science. Roles tied to TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Credit Karma platforms regularly require the technical and financial credentials that align with USMCA-eligible occupational categories, so focus your search there first.
Request a detailed offer letter from Intuit
Your TN admission depends on Intuit's offer letter, not a government petition. Ask your Intuit recruiter to confirm the letter specifies your USMCA occupational category, job duties, and employment period explicitly. Border officers at Canadian ports of entry scrutinize vague or generic letters closely.
Prepare your credentials before the border appointment
Canadian nationals present their TN documents at a U.S. port of entry, not at a consulate. Bring your original degree transcripts, professional license if required, and Intuit's offer letter. Photocopies are routinely rejected, and missing documents cause same-day refusals with no appeal option available.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified Intuit TN openings
Filtering job boards manually for TN-compatible roles wastes time. Migrate Mate surfaces Intuit positions already screened against USMCA occupational categories and Intuit's known sponsorship patterns, so you're applying to roles where TN admission is a realistic outcome rather than an uncertain ask.
Benchmark your salary against OFLC Wage Search data
TN status has no formal prevailing wage requirement, but Intuit's compensation still needs to reflect legitimate professional employment. Check OFLC Wage Search for your occupational category and metro area before negotiating, because underpaying relative to the local market can raise credibility concerns with officers.
Intuit TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Intuit sponsor TN visas?
Yes, Intuit supports TN admission for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying USMCA occupations. The company issues offer letters for eligible roles across software engineering, financial analysis, and data science. TN is treaty-based admission, so Intuit doesn't file a petition with USCIS. You present the offer letter directly at the border or U.S. consulate.
Which Intuit roles typically qualify for TN admission?
Roles in software engineering, systems analysis, financial analysis, and data science align most reliably with USMCA occupational categories. Intuit's product teams supporting TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Credit Karma generate consistent demand for these specialties. Job titles must map to a defined USMCA profession, so verify your specific role against the occupation list before applying.
How do I start the TN process after receiving an Intuit offer?
Once Intuit extends an offer, the company provides a support letter confirming your USMCA occupational category, job duties, and employment period. Canadian nationals take that letter to a U.S. port of entry. Mexican nationals apply at a U.S. consulate. No USCIS petition is involved, and there's no lottery or annual cap to navigate.
How long does TN admission typically take at Intuit?
Canadian nationals approved at the port of entry receive TN status the same day. Mexican nationals applying at a U.S. consulate face processing times that vary by location and appointment availability, typically ranging from a few days to several weeks. Intuit's offer letter is the primary document, so delays usually stem from consulate scheduling rather than employer paperwork.
How do I find open TN-compatible positions at Intuit?
Migrate Mate filters Intuit job listings against USMCA-eligible occupational categories, saving you the work of evaluating each posting manually. Focus your search on engineering, finance, and data roles tied to Intuit's core product lines. Confirm with your recruiter early that the specific role and title will appear in your offer letter as a recognized USMCA occupation.
How does TN visa admission work at Intuit?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Intuit, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
