Verify your credentials match USMCA categories
TN admission is limited to professions explicitly listed under USMCA. For Ivyrehab roles, confirm your licensure aligns with physical therapist, occupational therapist, or medical speech-language pathologist categories before applying. A credential mismatch at the border causes immediate denial with no appeal window.
Request a role-specific offer letter
Ivyrehab must issue an offer letter that names your exact profession using USMCA-recognized terminology, your prearranged employment terms, and the anticipated duration. Generic healthcare offer letters get flagged by border officers. Ask HR to reference your specific clinical discipline and practice setting explicitly.
Align your state license before your border appointment
Physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists must hold a valid state license for the jurisdiction where Ivyrehab assigns you. Border officers routinely ask for proof of licensure. Apply for your state credential in parallel with your job offer process to avoid unnecessary delays.
Search Ivyrehab openings through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to find Ivyrehab positions filtered for TN-eligible roles in rehabilitation and therapy. The platform surfaces employers with documented TN hiring history, so you can focus your search on openings where Canadian and Mexican clinicians have successfully gained admission before.
Prepare documentation for Canadian land border crossings
Canadians entering TN status at a land port of entry present their offer letter, credential proof, and citizenship documents directly to CBP. Ivyrehab's multi-site structure means your letter should specify which clinic location you are reporting to, since officers occasionally ask for a practice address.
Understand renewal timing across clinical contracts
TN status is granted in up to three-year increments and can be renewed indefinitely. If Ivyrehab offers a fixed-term contract, confirm the employment end date aligns with or exceeds your intended stay. A contract shorter than your TN period creates avoidable complications at your next renewal.
Ivyrehab Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech-Language Pathology, Pllc TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Ivyrehab Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech-Language Pathology, Pllc sponsor TN visas?
Ivyrehab supports TN admission for qualified Canadian and Mexican professionals in rehabilitation disciplines. Unlike H-1B visa, there is no employer petition or USCIS filing involved. Ivyrehab issues an offer letter that you present at a U.S. port of entry or consulate. The company's rehabilitation-focused structure makes it a relevant employer for TN-eligible clinicians in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology.
Which roles at Ivyrehab typically qualify for TN admission?
Roles that align with USMCA-listed professions are the qualifying positions. At Ivyrehab, that primarily means licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists. Administrative, billing, or support roles do not fall under USMCA TN categories. Your job title in the offer letter must match the recognized USMCA profession name exactly for CBP to approve admission.
How do I start the TN process after receiving an Ivyrehab offer?
Once Ivyrehab provides a written offer letter confirming your role, salary, and employment terms, you prepare your supporting documents: proof of citizenship, credential verification, and your degree or licensure. Canadians present this package directly at a U.S. land border or airport. Mexican nationals apply at a U.S. consulate abroad. There is no USCIS petition and no waiting period tied to a government processing queue.
How long does TN admission take for Ivyrehab candidates?
Canadian applicants can receive TN admission the same day at a port of entry, assuming their documents are complete. Mexican nationals face consular appointment wait times, which vary by location and season. Migrate Mate can help you identify whether your Ivyrehab role qualifies before you invest time in consular scheduling, reducing the risk of a preventable refusal.
Can I switch to an H-1B or Green Card while working at Ivyrehab on TN status?
TN status is classified as nonimmigrant and does not carry dual intent protection, meaning actively pursuing a Green Card can create complications at renewal. Transitioning to H-1B requires Ivyrehab to file an employer-sponsored petition subject to the annual lottery. Some TN holders pursue a National Interest Waiver as a self-petition pathway. Consult a licensed immigration attorney before initiating any immigrant intent steps while on TN.
How does TN visa admission work at Ivyrehab Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech-Language Pathology, Pllc?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Ivyrehab Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech-Language Pathology, Pllc, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
