Match your credentials to USMCA professions
TN eligibility turns on your occupation appearing in the USMCA professions list, not just your degree field. Cross-reference your role title against the list before applying to Legacy Health so you can frame your credentials accurately in your cover letter and interview.
Target Legacy Health's clinical department openings
Legacy Health hires TN professionals most frequently in nursing, medical laboratory, and allied health roles. Filter your job search to these departments first, since those postings align most directly with USMCA-qualifying healthcare occupations and are where TN offer letters are routinely issued.
Request a role-specific offer letter early
Legacy Health's offer letter must state your TN occupation category, job duties, and intended employment period. Ask HR to confirm those details match your USMCA profession category before you travel to the port of entry or schedule your consular appointment.
Verify your wage against prevailing-wage benchmarks
Although TN doesn't require an LCA, your offered salary should align with market rates for your occupation and region. Run your role through the OFLC Wage Search and O*NET before your interview so you can negotiate from an informed position and avoid surprises during admission.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified TN roles at Legacy Health
Identifying which Legacy Health postings are genuinely open to TN candidates takes time when listings rarely specify visa type. Migrate Mate filters job results by employer TN support history, so you spend your applications on roles where TN admission has been accepted before.
Prepare your border documents as a complete package
Canadian nationals admitted at a port of entry need the offer letter, proof of citizenship, and credentials showing your degree or licensure in a qualifying field. Have certified copies of your professional license and transcripts ready in one folder so CBP can process your admission without delays.
Legacy Health TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Legacy Health sponsor TN visas?
Yes. Legacy Health issues offer letters that support TN admission for Canadian and Mexican nationals in USMCA-qualifying occupations. TN is treaty-based admission, so there's no USCIS petition involved. You present Legacy Health's offer letter at a U.S. port of entry or consulate alongside proof of citizenship and qualifying credentials to gain admission.
Which roles at Legacy Health typically qualify for TN admission?
Legacy Health's TN-supported roles are concentrated in clinical and allied health occupations that appear on the USMCA professions list, including registered nurses, medical technologists, physical therapists, and pharmacists. Administrative or general management roles don't qualify for TN regardless of the employer, so focus your search on direct patient care and licensed clinical positions.
How do I start the TN process after receiving a Legacy Health offer?
Once Legacy Health issues your offer letter, Canadians travel directly to a U.S. land border or preclearance site and apply for TN admission with CBP. Mexican nationals schedule a visa appointment at a U.S. consulate. In both cases, you bring your offer letter, proof of citizenship, and documents verifying your qualifications in the stated USMCA occupation.
How long does TN admission take at Legacy Health?
Canadian nationals applying at the border can receive TN admission the same day if documents are in order. Mexican nationals face longer timelines depending on consular appointment availability, which can range from days to several weeks. Legacy Health's HR team can issue the offer letter quickly, so consular scheduling is typically the main variable in your timeline.
How do I find Legacy Health TN jobs that are actively hiring?
Legacy Health's career site lists open roles, but postings rarely specify TN eligibility directly. Migrate Mate surfaces Legacy Health positions filtered by the employer's history of supporting TN professionals, which helps you prioritize applications to roles where TN admission is a realistic outcome rather than an uncertain one.
How does TN visa admission work at Legacy Health?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Legacy Health, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
