Match your credentials to USMCA's professions list
TN admission only covers roles explicitly listed under USMCA, so confirm your occupation qualifies before applying to LifeBridge Health. Clinical titles like physical therapist, medical technologist, and registered nurse each carry specific degree and licensure requirements that the border officer will verify.
Obtain Maryland licensure before your interview
LifeBridge Health operates in Maryland, which requires active state licensure for most clinical roles before you can be hired. Border officers will ask for proof of licensure eligibility, so initiate your Maryland application early, credentialing delays are the most common TN hold-up for healthcare professionals.
Search verified TN employers on Migrate Mate
Before reaching out to LifeBridge Health recruiters, use Migrate Mate to confirm the company's active TN hiring history by role and department. Targeting roles where LifeBridge has a demonstrated pattern of supporting TN professionals improves your chances of finding a receptive hiring team.
Request a TN-specific offer letter from HR
LifeBridge Health's HR team issues offer letters that serve as your primary TN support document. Ask explicitly for a letter that states your job title, USMCA profession category, your Canadian or Mexican citizenship, and that the role is full-time, non-immigrant in nature.
Prepare for port-of-entry admission as a Canadian
Canadian nationals present their LifeBridge offer letter, credentials, and passport directly at a land border or pre-clearance facility, no consular appointment needed. Bring original degree transcripts and your professional license, not photocopies, since border officers routinely request originals for healthcare occupations.
Align your salary expectations with OFLC Wage Search data
Before negotiating your LifeBridge Health offer, look up the prevailing wage for your occupation and Maryland county using the OFLC Wage Search. Your offered salary must meet or exceed the applicable wage level, and a significant gap can prompt questions during TN admission or renewal.
LifeBridge Health TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does LifeBridge Health sponsor TN visas?
LifeBridge Health supports TN admission for qualified Canadian and Mexican professionals in eligible USMCA occupations. The company issues the offer letter you'll need for border admission or consular processing. TN is not an employer-filed petition, so LifeBridge Health's role is to provide documentation confirming your role and qualifications, not to file with USCIS.
Which roles at LifeBridge Health typically qualify for TN status?
Clinical and allied health positions are the most common TN-eligible roles at LifeBridge Health. Registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical technologists, and pharmacists all appear on the USMCA professions list and match LifeBridge's core hiring needs. Administrative and non-clinical support roles generally do not qualify for TN admission.
How do I start the TN process after receiving a LifeBridge Health offer?
Once LifeBridge Health extends an offer, ask HR to issue a TN support letter specifying your USMCA profession category, job duties, and employment terms. Canadians then present this letter along with credentials at a U.S. port of entry. Mexican nationals schedule a consular appointment at a U.S. embassy or consulate in Mexico before traveling.
How long does TN admission typically take at a U.S. port of entry?
For Canadian nationals, port-of-entry TN admission is usually processed the same day, often within a few hours, provided documentation is complete. Mexican nationals face longer timelines because they must complete consular processing first, which varies by consulate and appointment availability. TN status is granted in increments and can be renewed without a fixed limit.
How do I find open TN-eligible positions at LifeBridge Health?
Migrate Mate lets you filter job listings by TN-eligible employers and role types, making it easier to identify which LifeBridge Health positions align with your USMCA occupation category. Cross-reference your O*NET occupation profile to confirm your job duties match the USMCA description before applying, since duty alignment is what border officers assess during admission.
How does TN visa admission work at LifeBridge Health?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from LifeBridge Health, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
