Verify your role appears on the USMCA list
Not every healthcare title at Memorial Health System qualifies for TN admission. Cross-reference your exact job title against the USMCA professions list before applying. Roles like Medical Technologist, Pharmacist, and Physical Therapist have defined credential requirements that the offer letter must reflect precisely.
Align your credentials to state licensure requirements
Memorial Health System operates in states where active licensure or eligibility is a hiring prerequisite, not just a TN formality. Confirm your nursing or therapy credentials are recognized in the relevant state before the offer stage, since a pending license can delay your start date significantly.
Request a role-specific offer letter from HR
Memorial Health System's HR team issues TN support letters, but the letter must name your USMCA profession category, describe your duties, and confirm the temporary nature of the position. Ask HR explicitly whether the draft matches the language CBP officers expect at the port of entry.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open TN roles
Searching broadly for healthcare jobs wastes time when your goal is TN-compatible work. Migrate Mate filters Memorial Health System openings by visa type, so you can focus only on roles the employer has historically supported for Canadian and Mexican TN professionals.
Benchmark your salary against the OFLC Wage Search
TN admission doesn't require a formal prevailing wage filing, but Memorial Health System's offer must be competitive for your occupation and location. Look up your role's wage level in the OFLC Wage Search before negotiating, so you can flag a below-market offer before it becomes a credibility issue at the border.
Prepare supporting documents before your border or consulate appointment
Canadian nationals can present TN documents directly at a U.S. port of entry without advance filing. Bring your offer letter, proof of citizenship, and credential documents together in one organized package. CBP officers decide on the spot, so gaps in documentation create immediate problems that a second trip won't always fix.
Memorial Health System TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Memorial Health System sponsor TN visas?
Yes. Memorial Health System issues offer letters that support TN admission for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible USMCA professions. Because TN is treaty-based admission rather than an employer petition, Memorial Health System doesn't file with USCIS on your behalf. You present the offer letter at a U.S. port of entry or consulate to obtain TN status directly.
Which departments at Memorial Health System typically hire TN professionals?
Clinical and allied health departments are the most common hiring areas for TN candidates at Memorial Health System. Roles in nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, pharmacy, and medical laboratory services frequently align with USMCA-listed professions. Administrative or operational roles generally don't qualify, so confirm your specific title against the USMCA professions list before targeting a posting.
How do I start the TN process after receiving a job offer from Memorial Health System?
Once Memorial Health System extends an offer, ask HR to issue a TN support letter that identifies your USMCA profession category, describes your duties, confirms the temporary nature of the role, and states your compensation. Canadian citizens then present this letter at a U.S. land border or airport port of entry. Mexican nationals apply at a U.S. consulate abroad before traveling.
How long does TN admission take for Memorial Health System candidates?
Canadian nationals seeking TN admission at a port of entry typically receive a decision the same day, assuming documents are complete. Mexican nationals applying at a U.S. consulate face wait times that vary by location and appointment availability, often ranging from a few days to several weeks. Neither route involves USCIS processing times, which makes TN one of the faster paths to U.S. work authorization.
How do I find TN-eligible job openings at Memorial Health System?
Migrate Mate lists Memorial Health System openings filtered by visa type, including TN-compatible roles, so you can avoid applying to positions that won't support your admission category. Cross-check any role you find against the USMCA professions list and confirm with Memorial Health System's HR team that the title maps to a recognized TN profession before investing time in the application process.
How does TN visa admission work at Memorial Health System?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Memorial Health System, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
