Verify your role appears on the USMCA list
TN admission is limited to occupations explicitly listed under USMCA. Before applying to Mosaic Life Care, confirm your job title maps to a qualifying profession. Healthcare roles like registered nurse, physical therapist, and medical technologist are covered, but job titles vary by department.
Match your credentials to Missouri licensure requirements
Mosaic Life Care operates in Missouri, so your professional license must be valid or pending in that state. Secure your state license or a temporary permit before your TN border crossing, since consular officers and CBP officers expect documentation of licensure eligibility at admission.
Request a detailed offer letter from your hiring manager
Your offer letter from Mosaic Life Care is your primary TN document. It must specify your USMCA profession category, your job duties, the salary offered, and the intended employment period. A vague letter is the most common reason CBP officers ask follow-up questions at the port of entry.
Use Migrate Mate to find active TN roles at Mosaic Life Care
Searching broadly for healthcare jobs wastes time. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Mosaic Life Care openings verified against TN-eligible occupation categories, so you're targeting roles where the employer already understands the TN admission process for clinical professionals.
Plan your border crossing timing around shift start dates
TN admission is typically granted the same day at a land port of entry or preclearance airport for Canadians, but Mexican nationals apply at a U.S. consulate first. Build in buffer time before your start date so a short delay doesn't put your Mosaic Life Care offer at risk.
Prepare a credential equivalency letter for foreign degrees
If your nursing or allied health degree came from outside North America, obtain a credential evaluation from a NACES-member organization before your appointment. Mosaic Life Care's clinical hiring teams and CBP officers both expect evidence that your foreign qualification meets the U.S. degree standard for your profession.
Mosaic Life Care TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Mosaic Life Care sponsor TN visas?
Yes. Mosaic Life Care supports TN admission for qualified Canadian and Mexican professionals in USMCA-listed healthcare occupations. The health system issues offer letters that TN candidates use at the border or U.S. consulate. Mosaic Life Care does not file a petition with USCIS, since TN is treaty-based admission, not an employer-sponsored petition.
Which roles at Mosaic Life Care typically qualify for TN admission?
Clinical roles are the primary pathway. Registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical technologists, and pharmacists are among the USMCA-listed professions most commonly filled through TN admission at health systems like Mosaic Life Care. Roles that don't require a degree in a specific USMCA-listed field won't qualify regardless of department.
How do I start the TN process after receiving a Mosaic Life Care offer?
Once Mosaic Life Care issues your offer letter, Canadian professionals present it directly at a U.S. port of entry or preclearance airport along with credentials and passport. Mexican professionals schedule a consular appointment at a U.S. embassy or consulate. Neither route involves USCIS petitioning. You can use Migrate Mate to confirm your role qualifies before you proceed.
How long does TN admission take for a Mosaic Life Care role?
Canadian nationals can receive TN admission the same day at the border, making it one of the fastest work authorization pathways available. Mexican nationals face consular appointment wait times that vary by location and season, sometimes running several weeks. Factor in Missouri licensure processing time, which can add weeks before you're cleared to practice clinically.
What documents should I bring to support my Mosaic Life Care TN admission?
Bring your Mosaic Life Care offer letter, valid passport, professional degree transcripts or diplomas, and any state license or eligibility letter from Missouri. If your degree is from outside North America, include a credential evaluation from a recognized evaluation service. CBP officers review all of these to confirm you meet the USMCA profession definition for your role.
How does TN visa admission work at Mosaic Life Care?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Mosaic Life Care, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
