Match your credentials to USMCA occupations
TN eligibility at MultiCare depends on your role falling within the USMCA professions list, not just your job title. Cross-reference your degree and duties against the exact O*NET occupation profile before applying, since MultiCare's HR team will verify the match during offer letter preparation.
Target clinical departments with recurring vacancies
MultiCare's acute care hospitals and specialty clinics regularly hire registered nurses, physical therapists, and medical technologists on TN status. Focusing your search on these high-turnover clinical teams improves your odds of finding a hiring manager already familiar with TN admission requirements.
Request a detailed offer letter covering TN requirements
MultiCare's offer letter must specify your job title, duties, qualifying credentials, and that the position is a professional role under USMCA. Ask the recruiter to confirm the letter explicitly states your degree field matches the occupation, since border officers scrutinize this alignment closely.
Prepare credential documents before your border appointment
Canadian TN applicants present documents directly at a port of entry with no prior USCIS filing needed. Bring your MultiCare offer letter, original degree transcripts, professional license if applicable, and any credential evaluation for non-U.S. degrees well before your planned start date.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified TN roles at MultiCare
Searching broadly for healthcare jobs wastes time on employers unfamiliar with TN admission. Migrate Mate filters employer listings by visa type and hiring history, letting you quickly surface active MultiCare openings where TN professionals have successfully been hired into similar clinical or technical roles.
Clarify renewal timelines with your MultiCare HR contact
TN status is granted in three-year increments with no statutory limit on renewals, but each renewal requires a current offer letter from MultiCare confirming ongoing employment. Confirm your HR contact can provide updated documentation at least 60 days before your current status expires to avoid gaps.
MultiCare Health System TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does MultiCare Health System sponsor TN visas?
Yes. MultiCare Health System supports TN admission by issuing offer letters for qualifying USMCA professionals in clinical and allied health roles. Because TN is treaty-based admission rather than an employer petition, MultiCare's role is to provide documentation confirming your position, duties, and credentials. You then present that letter at a port of entry or U.S. consulate.
Which roles at MultiCare Health System typically qualify for TN status?
Registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical technologists, and pharmacists are among the roles at MultiCare that align with USMCA professions. TN eligibility depends on your specific duties matching a listed occupation and holding the required degree or license. Roles in healthcare management or non-clinical administration generally do not qualify.
How do I apply for TN status when starting a job at MultiCare Health System?
Once MultiCare issues your offer letter, Canadian citizens present it directly at a U.S. port of entry along with their passport, degree credentials, and professional license if required. Mexican citizens must schedule a consular appointment. There is no USCIS petition and no LCA filing involved in the TN process.
How long does the TN process take when hired by MultiCare Health System?
For Canadian citizens, TN admission at the border is typically processed the same day if documentation is complete. Mexican citizens applying at a consulate face appointment wait times that vary by location and season, often ranging from a few weeks to several months. Confirming your documents are complete before your appointment prevents delays.
How do I find open TN-eligible positions at MultiCare Health System?
Migrate Mate lets you filter job listings by visa type and employer hiring history, making it easier to identify MultiCare openings where TN professionals have been hired into similar roles. Once you identify a target position, confirm the role maps to a USMCA occupation before reaching out to a recruiter, since not every clinical posting automatically qualifies.
How does TN visa admission work at MultiCare Health System?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from MultiCare Health System, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
