Match your credentials to USMCA professions
TN admission is limited to occupations explicitly listed under USMCA. Before applying to National HealthCare Corporation, verify your specific role, such as Registered Nurse or Physical Therapist, appears on the USMCA TN professions list, and confirm your credentials satisfy the stated educational requirements for that category.
Target long-term care and rehabilitation openings
National HealthCare Corporation operates skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers across multiple states. Clinical roles in those settings, particularly nursing and therapy, align most directly with USMCA professions. Focusing your search on those facility types improves your odds of landing a role that supports TN admission.
Request a detailed offer letter before your border appointment
The offer letter National HealthCare Corporation provides must state your job title, duties, and that the role qualifies under a specific USMCA profession category. Canadians present this letter directly at a port of entry. A vague or misclassified letter is the most common cause of TN admission refusals, so review it carefully.
Verify your wage against OFLC Wage Search
Although TN doesn't require a Labor Condition Application, officers sometimes scrutinize whether your offered salary is consistent with prevailing wages for the occupation and work location. Cross-check National HealthCare Corporation's offer against the OFLC Wage Search before your port-of-entry appointment to catch any obvious discrepancies in advance.
Use Migrate Mate to confirm which roles qualify
Not every healthcare job at National HealthCare Corporation maps cleanly to a USMCA TN category. Use Migrate Mate to filter National HealthCare Corporation openings by TN-eligible roles and see which positions the company has historically supported for Canadian and Mexican professionals, so you apply only where TN admission is viable.
Prepare your credential documents before the interview
National HealthCare Corporation's clinical hiring process often involves state licensure verification. For TN, you'll also need your original degree transcripts and any professional certifications, such as an NCLEX pass result for nurses. Assembling those documents before your first interview prevents delays between offer acceptance and your border or consulate appointment.
National HealthCare Corporation TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does National HealthCare Corporation sponsor TN visas?
Yes. National HealthCare Corporation hires Canadian and Mexican professionals under TN status for qualifying USMCA roles. The company issues an offer letter that supports your TN admission at a port of entry or U.S. consulate. There is no USCIS petition involved. Eligible roles are limited to occupations on the USMCA TN professions list, so confirm your specific title qualifies before applying.
Which roles at National HealthCare Corporation are most likely to qualify for TN status?
National HealthCare Corporation's core business is skilled nursing and inpatient rehabilitation, so Registered Nurses, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Medical Technologists are the roles most commonly supported for TN admission. Allied health and management roles may qualify if they map to a USMCA profession category. Review the full USMCA TN list against your specific job title before accepting an offer.
How do I start the TN process after receiving a job offer from National HealthCare Corporation?
Once National HealthCare Corporation extends an offer, request a detailed offer letter specifying your USMCA profession category, job duties, and employment terms. Canadians present that letter, along with credentials and supporting documents, directly at a U.S. port of entry. Mexican nationals apply for a TN visa at a U.S. consulate first. You can use Migrate Mate to confirm your documents are complete before your appointment.
How long does TN admission take for National HealthCare Corporation roles?
For Canadian citizens, TN admission at a port of entry is typically processed the same day, assuming your documents are complete and the officer is satisfied with your qualifications. Mexican nationals should expect additional time for consular scheduling, which varies by location and appointment availability. TN status is granted for up to three years and can be renewed indefinitely as long as you maintain qualifying employment.
What credentials do I need to bring to my TN admission appointment for a National HealthCare Corporation role?
You'll need the National HealthCare Corporation offer letter, original academic transcripts or diplomas, professional licenses (such as a state RN license or NCLEX results for nurses), and your valid passport. For some professions, additional certifications or evaluations may be required. Confirm your specific profession's credential requirements against USCIS guidance before your port-of-entry or consulate appointment to avoid a same-day refusal.
How does TN visa admission work at National HealthCare Corporation?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from National HealthCare Corporation, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
