Match your credentials to USMCA professions
Nationwide Children's Hospital hires across nursing, therapy, and allied health roles, but TN admission only covers specific USMCA-listed occupations. Cross-check your credentials against the official professions list before applying so your offer letter reflects the correct TN category.
Prepare degree equivalency documentation early
Pediatric hospitals like Nationwide Children's routinely hire internationally trained clinicians whose credentials require equivalency review. Get your foreign degree evaluated by a NACES-approved agency before the offer stage so your TN documentation package is ready when the hospital issues your letter.
Target clinical departments with consistent TN hiring
Nationwide Children's has deep staffing needs in nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and medical technology. Search Migrate Mate to filter open roles by TN eligibility and see which departments at Nationwide Children's have active hiring aligned to USMCA professions.
Clarify your TN category in your cover letter
Hiring managers at large hospital systems often flag TN candidates for additional HR review. Name your specific USMCA profession category in your cover letter so recruiters at Nationwide Children's can route your application correctly without delays at the offer stage.
Understand the offer letter requirements before accepting
For TN admission, the offer letter Nationwide Children's provides must specify your USMCA profession, job duties, expected duration, and compensation. Review the letter against USCIS guidance before your border or consulate appointment to catch any missing details that could result in a TN denial.
Use OFLC Wage Search to validate your salary offer
While TN doesn't require a Labor Condition Application, your offered salary should align with prevailing wage data for your role and location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to benchmark compensation before negotiating with Nationwide Children's, so wage issues don't surface unexpectedly at the border.
Nationwide Children'S Hospital TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Nationwide Children's Hospital sponsor TN visas?
Nationwide Children's Hospital supports TN admission for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying USMCA professions. The hospital issues offer letters for eligible clinical and healthcare roles. TN is treaty-based and doesn't involve a USCIS petition, so the process depends on the offer letter Nationwide Children's provides and the candidate's own border or consulate appointment.
Which roles at Nationwide Children's Hospital are eligible for TN admission?
TN-eligible roles at Nationwide Children's are limited to USMCA-listed professions. The hospital's core hiring areas in nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medical technology, and scientific research align well with the USMCA professions list. Use O*NET to confirm whether your specific occupation and job duties satisfy the TN profession criteria before applying.
How do I start the TN process after receiving an offer from Nationwide Children's Hospital?
Once Nationwide Children's issues your offer letter specifying your USMCA profession, duties, duration, and compensation, Canadian citizens present the letter directly at a U.S. port of entry. Mexican nationals schedule a visa appointment at a U.S. consulate. Review the letter carefully against USCIS guidance before your appointment to confirm all required details are included.
How long does TN admission take when working with Nationwide Children's Hospital?
Canadian citizens admitted at the border can typically receive TN status on the same day if documentation is complete. Mexican nationals applying at a U.S. consulate face variable wait times depending on appointment availability. TN status is granted in two-year increments and can be renewed indefinitely as long as you maintain qualifying employment at Nationwide Children's.
How do I find TN-eligible job openings at Nationwide Children's Hospital?
Nationwide Children's posts openings across its clinical and research departments, but not all listings specify TN eligibility. Migrate Mate filters job listings by TN-eligible roles and lets you see which openings at Nationwide Children's align with USMCA professions, saving you time before you invest in preparing a full documentation package.
How does TN visa admission work at Nationwide Children'S Hospital?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Nationwide Children'S Hospital, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
