Verify your role qualifies under USMCA
TN admission is limited to occupations explicitly listed in the USMCA professions schedule. Before applying to Nemours, cross-reference your job title against that list using O*NET to confirm your specific clinical or allied health role meets the treaty's occupation definitions.
Target pediatric specialties Nemours actively hires
Nemours consistently fills positions in pediatric nursing, medical technology, and clinical laboratory sciences. Focus your application on departments where their patient census is highest, since those teams generate the most consistent demand for TN-eligible professionals in a children's health system.
Request a detailed offer letter covering TN requirements
Nemours' HR team issues the support letter you'll present at the border or consulate. Ask explicitly that it states your job title, USMCA profession category, employment duration, and salary, since border officers and consular staff will scrutinize each element before granting TN admission.
Benchmark your salary against OFLC Wage Search data
TN doesn't require a Labor Condition Application, but officers may still assess whether your offered wage aligns with prevailing standards for your occupation and work location. Pull the relevant wage level from OFLC Wage Search before your interview so you can address any pay-related questions confidently.
Use Migrate Mate to find open TN roles at Nemours
Searching a children's health system's job board for TN-compatible openings takes time. Migrate Mate filters listings by employer TN-hiring history and USMCA-eligible occupation, so you can identify active Nemours postings in your clinical specialty without manually sorting through every requisition.
Prepare credential documentation before your border appointment
Canadian nationals entering at the port of entry must present original degree transcripts, licensure certificates, and any credential evaluation for non-U.S. degrees. Nemours roles in nursing and medical technology require state licensure proof, so gather those documents before you travel to avoid a secondary inspection delay.
Nemours Children's Health TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Nemours Children's Health sponsor TN visas?
Nemours Children's Health supports TN admission for Canadian and Mexican nationals in USMCA-eligible occupations. It issues the offer letter you need to present at a port of entry or U.S. consulate. Nemours does not file a petition with USCIS, since TN is treaty-based and does not involve an employer-filed application.
Which roles at Nemours Children's Health typically qualify for TN admission?
Clinical and allied health positions are the most common TN-eligible roles at Nemours, including registered nurses, medical technologists, clinical laboratory scientists, and pharmacists. These occupations appear on the USMCA professions list. Roles in hospital administration or general support staff typically do not qualify, so confirm your specific job title before applying.
How do I apply for TN status when taking a job at Nemours Children's Health?
Once Nemours extends an offer, request a formal support letter from their HR team that includes your USMCA profession category, job title, and employment terms. Canadian nationals present this letter at a U.S. port of entry for same-day admission. Mexican nationals apply at a U.S. consulate before traveling. USCIS is not involved in either process.
How long does the TN process take when starting at Nemours Children's Health?
Canadian nationals can receive TN admission the same day they present their documents at a port of entry, provided the offer letter and credentials are complete. Mexican nationals face consular appointment wait times that vary by location and time of year, so factor several weeks of lead time into your start-date planning with Nemours.
How do I find open TN-eligible positions at Nemours Children's Health?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by TN-compatible employers and USMCA-eligible occupations, making it straightforward to identify active Nemours openings that match your clinical specialty. You can also search Nemours' own careers portal directly, but filtering by visa type there requires manual review of each posting's requirements.
How does TN visa admission work at Nemours Children's Health?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Nemours Children's Health, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
