Match your credentials to USMCA professions
TN admission is limited to occupations explicitly listed under USMCA, so confirm your role at North Country Healthcare maps to a qualifying profession before applying. Use O*NET to verify your job title aligns with an approved TN category like physician, nurse, or medical technologist.
Request a detailed offer letter early
North Country Healthcare's offer letter must specify your TN profession category, describe your duties, state your salary, and confirm the temporary nature of your employment. Gaps or vague job descriptions are the most common reason border officers ask additional questions, so get a complete letter before you travel.
Verify your credentials meet state licensing requirements
Healthcare roles at North Country Healthcare often require active state licensure before you start. Canadian and Mexican applicants should confirm their nursing or medical credentials are recognized in the relevant state, since unlicensed candidates can face delays even when their TN profession category is otherwise valid.
Use Migrate Mate to find open TN roles
Targeting North Country Healthcare positions that match your TN profession saves time before outreach. Migrate Mate shows verified employer hiring data by visa type, so you can identify which North Country Healthcare roles have supported TN admission and apply with confidence your profession category qualifies.
Prepare for port-of-entry admission as a Canadian
Canadian nationals apply directly at the U.S. port of entry without a prior visa appointment. Bring your North Country Healthcare offer letter, credential documentation, and proof of Canadian citizenship. Officers at land borders and airports can approve TN admission on the spot when your package is complete and organized.
Understand TN duration and renewal timing
TN status is granted in three-year increments with no statutory limit on renewals, provided you maintain a qualifying job offer from North Country Healthcare. Apply for renewal before your current status expires, since a lapse in status can affect your ability to continue working without interruption.
North Country Healthcare TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does North Country Healthcare sponsor TN visas?
Yes. North Country Healthcare supports TN admission for qualified Canadian and Mexican professionals in eligible healthcare roles. Rather than filing a petition, the company issues an offer letter that you present at the U.S. port of entry or consulate. Eligible roles must fall within the USMCA professions list, which covers physicians, nurses, and several allied health occupations.
Which roles at North Country Healthcare are typically eligible for TN admission?
North Country Healthcare primarily hires TN professionals for clinical roles including physicians, registered nurses, and allied health positions such as medical technologists and physical therapists. Administrative or non-clinical roles generally do not qualify because TN eligibility is defined by USMCA, not by the employer. Confirm your specific job title maps to an approved TN profession before applying.
How do I start the TN process after receiving an offer from North Country Healthcare?
After accepting an offer, request a formal offer letter from North Country Healthcare that specifies your TN profession category, job duties, salary, and employment period. Canadian nationals present this letter directly at a U.S. port of entry. Mexican nationals schedule a visa appointment at a U.S. consulate. Neither route involves a USCIS petition or employer filing.
How long does TN admission take at North Country Healthcare?
Canadian nationals can receive TN admission the same day at the port of entry when documentation is complete. Mexican nationals face longer timelines due to consular appointment availability, which can range from a few weeks to several months depending on location. North Country Healthcare's offer letter is typically straightforward, so preparation time depends mainly on your credential and licensing documents.
How do I find TN-eligible job openings at North Country Healthcare?
Migrate Mate lists North Country Healthcare positions filtered by visa type, making it easier to identify roles that have supported TN admission. Cross-reference any opening against the USMCA professions list to confirm your occupation qualifies before applying. Reaching out to North Country Healthcare's recruitment team with your TN profession category upfront also helps accelerate the hiring conversation.
How does TN visa admission work at North Country Healthcare?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from North Country Healthcare, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
