Verify your role appears on the USMCA list
TN admission is limited to occupations explicitly named in the USMCA professions list. Healthcare roles like registered nurse, medical technologist, and physical therapist qualify, but job titles at PeaceHealth may differ from the treaty language, so confirm the match before applying.
Align your credentials to PeaceHealth's license requirements
PeaceHealth operates across Oregon, Washington, and Alaska, each with distinct state licensure rules. Secure or at minimum initiate your state nursing or allied health license before requesting an offer letter, since PeaceHealth's HR teams expect licensure to be in progress or complete.
Target PeaceHealth's high-vacancy clinical departments
PeaceHealth's critical care, emergency, and medical-surgical units carry the most consistent TN-eligible openings. Filtering your search to these departments, particularly at their larger hospital campuses, puts you in front of hiring managers actively recruiting Canadian and Mexican healthcare professionals.
Use Migrate Mate to identify PeaceHealth's TN hiring history
Before reaching out to PeaceHealth recruiters, use Migrate Mate to review the company's visa sponsorship record by role and location. That context helps you tailor your outreach and shows up in interviews as informed, employer-specific preparation rather than generic interest.
Request a detailed offer letter that satisfies CBP requirements
PeaceHealth's offer letter must state your TN profession category, job duties, salary, and employment period. Canadian nationals present this directly to a CBP officer at the border. Ask HR explicitly whether their standard letter includes all required elements before your port-of-entry appointment.
Prepare documentation for a same-day border decision
Canadian nationals receive a TN decision at the port of entry, so bring your degree transcripts, professional certifications, state license confirmation, and the PeaceHealth offer letter in a single organized packet. Missing a single document can result in a same-day refusal with no appeal option.
PeaceHealth TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does PeaceHealth sponsor TN visas?
Yes. PeaceHealth supports TN admission for qualified Canadian and Mexican professionals by issuing the offer letter required at the border or consulate. The company does not file a petition with USCIS. Instead, the worker presents PeaceHealth's letter directly to a CBP officer or at a U.S. consulate, making the process faster than H-1B visa sponsorship.
Which roles at PeaceHealth typically qualify for TN admission?
PeaceHealth hires TN professionals most frequently in clinical roles that appear on the USMCA professions list, including registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical technologists, and pharmacists. Roles in medical coding, health information management, or general administration generally do not meet TN profession criteria, so confirm your specific title against the treaty list before applying.
How do I start the TN process after receiving a PeaceHealth job offer?
Once PeaceHealth extends a formal offer, request a TN support letter from their HR or legal team. The letter should confirm your job title mapped to a USMCA profession, duties, salary, and intended start date. Canadian nationals take that letter to a port of entry. Mexican nationals schedule a consular appointment. No USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application is required.
How long does the TN admission process take with PeaceHealth?
For Canadian nationals, the port-of-entry decision is same-day, so the timeline depends mainly on how quickly PeaceHealth issues the offer letter and how soon you can travel to a port of entry. Mexican nationals face longer timelines due to U.S. consulate appointment availability. Internal PeaceHealth HR processing for the letter typically takes one to two weeks after offer acceptance.
How do I find TN-eligible jobs at PeaceHealth?
Migrate Mate lists PeaceHealth openings with sponsorship context, letting you filter specifically for TN-eligible roles across the company's hospitals and clinics. Cross-reference any role you find against the USMCA professions list and verify the required credential matches your degree and any state licensure PeaceHealth expects before submitting your application.
How does TN visa admission work at PeaceHealth?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from PeaceHealth, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
