Align your credentials to USMCA professions
Before applying, confirm your role appears on the USMCA TN professions list. Prime Healthcare hires heavily in nursing, physical therapy, and medical technology, so match your credential type and job title precisely to the listed category before reaching out to recruiters.
Target high-volume clinical departments first
Prime Healthcare's hospitals consistently hire in ICU, telemetry, and rehabilitation units. Focusing your applications on these departments increases your chances of reaching hiring managers already familiar with TN admission for clinical professionals rather than educating them from scratch.
Use Migrate Mate to find active TN roles
Search Migrate Mate's job board to filter Prime Healthcare positions verified for TN sponsorship. You'll see which departments are actively hiring TN professionals, saving you from applying to roles where the hiring team hasn't worked with TN candidates before.
Request a USMCA-compliant offer letter early
Once Prime Healthcare extends an offer, ask HR to confirm the letter specifies your job title, duties, and that the role qualifies under USMCA. Canadian nationals present this letter at the port of entry, so any ambiguity in the document can cause delays or denials on the spot.
Verify your wage meets prevailing wage standards
Before your border appointment, cross-check your offered salary against the OFLC Wage Search for your occupation and work location. If Prime Healthcare's offer falls below the prevailing wage for your role, a CBP officer may question the terms of your admission.
Prepare your credential verification documents in advance
For licensed professions like nursing, obtain your state board license or a CGFNS credential evaluation before your admission appointment. Prime Healthcare's HR team will need proof of licensure, and CBP will verify that your credentials match the USMCA professional category you're entering under.
Prime Healthcare Services TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Prime Healthcare Services sponsor TN visas?
Yes, Prime Healthcare Services supports TN admission for qualified Canadian and Mexican professionals in eligible USMCA occupations. The company issues offer letters for roles in clinical and allied health fields, which candidates then present at the U.S. port of entry or consulate. Prime Healthcare does not file a petition with USCIS, as TN admission is treaty-based under USMCA.
Which roles at Prime Healthcare Services are typically eligible for TN admission?
Prime Healthcare regularly hires TN professionals in nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medical technology, and other clinical disciplines listed on the USMCA professions schedule. Roles in administrative, non-clinical, or general management functions are unlikely to qualify, since TN eligibility is tied to specific USMCA profession categories rather than employer preference.
How do I start the TN process after receiving an offer from Prime Healthcare Services?
Once Prime Healthcare issues your offer letter, Canadian nationals proceed directly to a U.S. port of entry and present the letter along with credential verification to CBP. Mexican nationals apply through a U.S. consulate for a TN visa stamp before traveling. USCIS is not involved in either path. Confirming your letter includes your job title, duties, and USMCA category before your appointment avoids complications.
How long does TN admission typically take at the border for Prime Healthcare candidates?
Canadian nationals can expect same-day admission at most ports of entry when documents are complete, since CBP adjudicates TN requests on the spot. Mexican nationals should allow several weeks for consular scheduling and processing. TN status is granted in three-year increments and can be renewed indefinitely as long as you remain employed with Prime Healthcare in a qualifying role.
How do I find open TN-eligible positions at Prime Healthcare Services?
Migrate Mate lists Prime Healthcare job openings filtered for TN sponsorship, so you can identify roles where the company is actively hiring TN professionals. You can also apply directly through Prime Healthcare's careers portal and specify your TN status during the screening process. Targeting clinical departments with consistent hiring activity, such as ICU or rehabilitation, improves your response rate from recruiters familiar with TN candidates.
How does TN visa admission work at Prime Healthcare Services?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Prime Healthcare Services, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
