Match your credentials to USMCA professions
The TN category is limited to occupations explicitly listed in the USMCA professions schedule. Before applying to Riverside Health, confirm your role and credentials map to an eligible healthcare profession, since unlisted roles don't qualify regardless of your qualifications.
Request a detailed TN support letter
Riverside Health's offer letter must specify your USMCA profession category, job duties, employer details, and the temporary nature of your work. A vague letter causes border delays or denials, so ask HR to confirm all required elements are included before you travel.
Search Migrate Mate to identify open TN roles
Use Migrate Mate to search Riverside Health's verified job listings filtered for TN-eligible positions in healthcare. Targeting roles that align with your licensed profession saves time and ensures you're applying where your credentials directly support TN admission at the border or consulate.
Verify your license is valid in the work state
Most clinical TN roles at a healthcare employer like Riverside Health require an active U.S. state license in nursing, physical therapy, or your relevant profession. Confirm your licensure is current and recognized in the specific state where you'll be working before your interview.
Prepare your degree documentation in advance
TN admission requires proof your degree matches the USMCA profession you're entering under. Gather certified transcripts, your diploma, and any professional credentials before your border or consulate appointment, as healthcare roles often face closer scrutiny on education-to-occupation alignment.
Understand the difference between Canadian and Mexican TN entry
Canadian citizens present their Riverside Health offer letter directly at a port of entry and receive TN status on the spot. Mexican citizens must apply at a U.S. consulate and receive a TN visa stamp before traveling. Plan your timeline and documentation according to your citizenship.
Riverside Health TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Riverside Health sponsor TN visas?
Riverside Health supports TN admission by issuing offer letters for qualifying USMCA roles in its healthcare and medical services operations. The company doesn't file a petition with USCIS, TN is treaty-based admission, so you present Riverside Health's offer letter at a U.S. port of entry or consulate to obtain TN status.
Which roles at Riverside Health typically qualify for TN admission?
Clinical and allied health positions are the most common TN-eligible roles at a healthcare employer like Riverside Health. Registered nurses, physical therapists, pharmacists, and medical technologists appear frequently in healthcare TN admissions because they correspond directly to USMCA-listed professions with defined credential requirements. Use Migrate Mate to browse currently open positions.
How do I start the TN process after receiving a Riverside Health offer?
Once Riverside Health extends a formal offer, request a TN support letter that specifies your USMCA profession category, job duties, and employment terms. Canadian citizens bring that letter to a U.S. land border or pre-clearance location. Mexican citizens schedule a nonimmigrant visa appointment at a U.S. consulate and present the letter there.
How long does TN admission take at the border or consulate?
Canadian citizens applying at a port of entry typically receive a decision the same day, making the process fast when documentation is complete. Mexican citizens face consulate appointment wait times that vary by location and season, so scheduling several weeks in advance is advisable. TN status is issued in two-year increments and is renewable.
What documents should I bring to support my Riverside Health TN admission?
Bring Riverside Health's detailed offer letter, your passport, evidence of your qualifying degree or credentials, and your professional license if your role requires one. For nursing and therapy roles, CBP officers routinely verify that your education directly supports the USMCA profession you're claiming, so having certified transcripts available strengthens your case.
How does TN visa admission work at Riverside Health?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Riverside Health, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
