Verify your role qualifies under USMCA
TN admission covers a defined list of USMCA professions, so confirm your exact job title maps to an eligible category before applying to Saint Francis. Use O*NET to match your duties to the right occupation code, a mismatch at the border causes immediate denial.
Align your credentials to Oklahoma license requirements
Saint Francis operates in Oklahoma, where clinical roles like RN and physical therapist require state licensure before your start date. Secure your Oklahoma license or a license verification letter early, Saint Francis's offer letter for TN candidates typically references it directly.
Request a detailed support letter from HR
Your TN admission depends entirely on the offer letter Saint Francis provides. Ask HR explicitly to include your job title matching the USMCA profession, your prearranged employment start date, your work location, and a clear statement that the position requires your specific professional qualifications.
Use Migrate Mate to identify active TN openings
Targeting roles Saint Francis actually hires TN candidates for saves significant time. Migrate Mate surfaces verified TN-sponsoring employers by role type, so you can focus your application on departments at Saint Francis where TN admission has a documented track record in healthcare.
Prepare for port-of-entry TN admission as a Canadian
Canadian citizens apply for TN status directly at a U.S. port of entry, no consulate appointment needed. Bring your Saint Francis offer letter, credential documents, and proof of Canadian citizenship. CBP officers make the admission decision on the spot, so document completeness matters more than timing.
Plan your TN extension timeline around Saint Francis renewals
TN status is granted in up to three-year increments with no cap on renewals, but extensions require an updated offer letter confirming continued employment at Saint Francis. Initiate the renewal conversation with your supervisor and HR at least 90 days before your current status expires.
Saint Francis Health System TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Saint Francis Health System sponsor TN visas?
Yes, Saint Francis Health System supports TN admission for qualified Canadian and Mexican professionals in eligible USMCA roles. Rather than filing a petition, Saint Francis issues an offer letter that the candidate presents at the border or U.S. consulate. Clinical and allied health positions are the most common TN-eligible roles at the system.
Which roles and departments at Saint Francis Health System typically qualify for TN admission?
TN admission at Saint Francis is most common in clinical disciplines that appear on the USMCA professions list, including registered nursing, physical and occupational therapy, medical technology, and pharmacy. Departments with consistent hiring needs, such as ICU, surgical services, and rehabilitation, tend to see the highest volume of TN candidates.
How do I start the TN process after receiving a Saint Francis job offer?
Once Saint Francis extends an offer, request a detailed support letter from HR that includes your USMCA-eligible job title, employment start date, work site, and a statement that the role requires your professional credentials. Canadian citizens then present the letter at a U.S. port of entry, while Mexican citizens schedule a U.S. consulate appointment.
How long does the TN process take when working with Saint Francis Health System?
For Canadian citizens, TN admission is typically granted the same day at the port of entry if documentation is complete. Mexican nationals applying at a U.S. consulate should expect a few weeks for appointment scheduling and processing. The bottleneck is usually obtaining your Oklahoma state license or credential verification, not the TN admission itself.
How do I find open TN-eligible positions at Saint Francis Health System?
Migrate Mate lists TN-sponsoring employers filtered by role type and visa category, making it straightforward to identify current openings at Saint Francis Health System where TN admission is realistic. Cross-reference any role against the USMCA professions list to confirm eligibility before submitting your application, and contact the Saint Francis recruiter directly to confirm TN support.
How does TN visa admission work at Saint Francis Health System?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Saint Francis Health System, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
