Match your credentials to USMCA occupations
San Antonio Regional Hospital hires across clinical disciplines, but TN admission only covers roles on the USMCA professions list. Verify your occupation code against that list before applying so your offer letter reflects an eligible title that the port of entry or consulate will accept.
Request a detailed TN support letter
Ask your San Antonio Regional Hospital recruiter to include your USMCA occupation category, your specific duties, your anticipated start date, and confirmation of your Canadian or Mexican citizenship in the offer letter. Officers at the border or consulate scrutinize every element of this document.
Verify your nursing credentials before applying
Healthcare roles at San Antonio Regional Hospital require active state licensure. Canadian nurses must hold a valid California RN license or have a temporary permit in hand before your TN admission date, since USCIS and CBP officers will not waive the licensure requirement at the port of entry.
Use Migrate Mate to find open TN roles
Target departments at San Antonio Regional Hospital that actively hire TN professionals rather than cold-applying broadly. Migrate Mate filters job listings by employer TN sponsorship history so you can prioritize roles in clinical teams where TN admission is already a familiar process.
Prepare for same-day admission at the border
Canadian nationals can obtain TN status directly at a U.S. port of entry with no advance petition required. Bring your San Antonio Regional Hospital offer letter, proof of citizenship, professional credentials, and any relevant licenses so the CBP officer can adjudicate your admission on the spot.
Align your start date with hospital onboarding cycles
San Antonio Regional Hospital runs structured clinical onboarding, so confirm your intended start date with HR before your border appointment or consulate interview. A TN admission tied to a start date that conflicts with the hospital's credentialing timeline can create status gaps during your first weeks.
San Antonio Regional Hospital TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does San Antonio Regional Hospital sponsor TN visas?
San Antonio Regional Hospital supports TN admission for Canadian and Mexican professionals in USMCA-listed occupations. The hospital issues offer letters that TN candidates present at a U.S. port of entry or consulate. There is no USCIS petition involved. Eligible roles are limited to occupations defined on the USMCA professions list, which covers most clinical and allied health positions the hospital hires for.
Which departments at San Antonio Regional Hospital typically hire TN professionals?
Clinical departments including nursing, physical and occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, and diagnostic imaging are among the areas where San Antonio Regional Hospital regularly brings on internationally trained professionals. Most roles that qualify for TN admission fall within direct patient care or allied health, where USMCA occupation categories align closely with the hospital's staffing needs.
How do I start the TN process with San Antonio Regional Hospital?
Once you receive a written job offer, San Antonio Regional Hospital's HR team issues a TN support letter detailing your role, duties, and USMCA occupation category. Canadian professionals take that letter to a U.S. port of entry for same-day CBP adjudication. Mexican professionals schedule a consulate interview. No USCIS petition is filed at any stage.
How long does TN admission take at San Antonio Regional Hospital?
For Canadian nationals, TN status is typically granted the same day at the port of entry, assuming all documents are in order. Mexican nationals applying at a U.S. consulate face variable wait times depending on consulate appointment availability. Either way, the hospital cannot control adjudication speed, so coordinating your planned start date with HR early is essential.
How do I find TN-eligible jobs at San Antonio Regional Hospital?
Migrate Mate lists open roles at San Antonio Regional Hospital filtered by TN sponsorship history, so you can identify positions in departments where TN admission is a familiar process. Cross-reference any role you target against the USMCA professions list and confirm with the recruiter that your specific job title maps to an eligible occupation before accepting an offer.
How does TN visa admission work at San Antonio Regional Hospital?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from San Antonio Regional Hospital, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
