Match your credentials to USMCA professions
Trinity Health hires across dozens of clinical disciplines, but TN admission only covers roles on the USMCA professions list. Cross-reference your occupation against that list before applying, because a strong candidacy in an unlisted role won't lead to a TN regardless of how willing Trinity Health is to hire you.
Target departments with recurring clinical vacancies
Trinity Health's acute care hospitals consistently recruit for registered nurses, physical therapists, pharmacists, and medical laboratory technologists. Focusing your search on these high-turnover clinical departments gives you the best chance of landing a role where TN admission is already a familiar pathway for hiring managers.
Use Migrate Mate to identify active TN roles
Before reaching out to Trinity Health recruiters, search Migrate Mate for open positions filtered by TN eligibility. Arriving at an interview knowing which roles the health system actively fills through TN admission signals preparation and saves time for both you and the hiring team.
Request a detailed offer letter before your border crossing
Trinity Health's offer letter is your primary TN document at the port of entry or consulate. Ask HR to confirm that the letter specifies your USMCA profession category, your job duties, your anticipated start date, and the duration of employment, since a vague or incomplete letter is the leading cause of TN delays.
Verify your wage against the OFLC Wage Search
TN admission doesn't require a formal prevailing wage determination, but CBP officers can scrutinize whether your offered salary is consistent with the role. Before your appointment, run your occupation and work location through the OFLC Wage Search so you can speak confidently to how your compensation aligns with market rates.
Prepare a credentials brief using O*NET
If a CBP officer questions whether your specific duties qualify under your stated USMCA profession, an O*NET occupation profile showing the standard tasks and required education for your role strengthens your case. Pull the profile for your job title and highlight the requirements that mirror your degree and Trinity Health responsibilities.
Trinity Health TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Trinity Health sponsor TN visas?
Trinity Health hires TN professionals across its hospital network by issuing the offer letter you need for TN admission. Because TN is a treaty-based classification under USMCA, Trinity Health doesn't file a petition with USCIS. You present the offer letter yourself at a port of entry if you're Canadian, or at a U.S. consulate if you're Mexican. Eligible roles must fall within the USMCA professions list.
Which roles at Trinity Health typically qualify for TN admission?
Trinity Health's most common TN-eligible positions are in direct patient care and allied health, including registered nurses, pharmacists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical technologists, and dietitians. These roles map cleanly to USMCA profession categories. Administrative and non-clinical positions rarely qualify for TN, so confirm your specific title is on the USMCA list before proceeding with a Trinity Health application.
How do I start the TN process after receiving a Trinity Health job offer?
Once you have a written job offer, ask Trinity Health HR to issue a detailed support letter confirming your USMCA profession category, duties, start date, and employment duration. Canadians take that letter to a U.S. port of entry for same-day adjudication. Mexicans schedule a consular interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate. No USCIS filing is required from either side.
How long does TN admission take at a Trinity Health hiring timeline?
Canadian professionals can complete TN admission at a land border or preclearance airport in a single day, so Trinity Health can often onboard Canadian hires within weeks of an offer. Mexican professionals wait for a consular appointment, which adds several weeks depending on post availability. Build at least four to six weeks into your start-date negotiation to account for document preparation and scheduling.
How do I find open TN-eligible positions at Trinity Health?
Use Migrate Mate to search Trinity Health job listings filtered by TN visa eligibility so you're only reviewing roles that fit your USMCA profession category. Applying through a platform that surfaces TN-compatible openings reduces the risk of advancing through a lengthy interview process only to discover the role doesn't qualify for TN admission under USMCA.
How does TN visa admission work at Trinity Health?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from Trinity Health, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
