Match your credentials to USMCA professions
TN admission is limited to specific occupations on the USMCA professions list. Before applying to VNS Health, verify your role, such as registered nurse or physical therapist, maps directly to a listed profession. Cross-check the job description against O*NET to confirm occupational alignment.
Prepare your license before applying
VNS Health operates in New York, so clinical TN candidates must hold a valid New York state license or demonstrate eligibility before an offer letter is issued. Starting the licensure process early prevents delays between your offer and your border or consulate appointment.
Target community and home health divisions
VNS Health's core model is community-based care, so demand for TN-eligible roles concentrates in home health, palliative care, and rehabilitation services. Filtering your job search to these departments improves your chances of landing a role where TN admission is a routine part of hiring.
Search verified TN employers on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to find VNS Health job listings filtered by TN-supporting employers. The platform surfaces roles where employers actively issue TN offer letters, saving you time screening postings that won't support your admission as a Canadian or Mexican national.
Request a complete offer letter before travel
Your offer letter from VNS Health must include your job title, duties, USMCA profession category, salary, and employment duration. Canadian nationals present this at the port of entry; Mexican nationals need it for their consulate appointment. An incomplete letter causes immediate admission problems.
Benchmark your salary against prevailing wage data
While TN doesn't require a formal prevailing wage filing, confirming your offered salary meets or exceeds market rates strengthens your position. Run your occupation and location through the OFLC Wage Search before negotiating your offer to arrive informed and avoid underpayment concerns.
VNS Health TN Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does VNS Health sponsor TN visas?
VNS Health supports TN admission by issuing offer letters for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying USMCA occupations. Because TN is a treaty-based status, there's no USCIS petition involved. VNS Health's hiring of clinical professionals in home health and community care aligns well with TN-eligible roles like registered nurse and physical therapist.
Which roles at VNS Health typically qualify for TN admission?
TN admission at VNS Health is most common in clinical positions that map to USMCA's professions list, including registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and medical social workers. Roles in home health, rehabilitation, and palliative care divisions are where demand for these occupations is highest within VNS Health's service model.
How do I start the TN process after receiving an offer from VNS Health?
Once VNS Health issues your offer letter confirming your job title, duties, USMCA profession category, and salary, Canadian nationals proceed directly to a U.S. port of entry for admission. Mexican nationals schedule a nonimmigrant visa appointment at a U.S. consulate. No USCIS filing or Labor Condition Application is required for TN status.
How long does the TN admission process take when working with VNS Health?
For Canadian nationals, TN admission happens the day you present your documents at the port of entry, assuming everything is in order. Mexican nationals face longer timelines tied to U.S. consulate appointment availability, which varies by location and season. The critical path is preparing your credentials and New York state license well in advance.
How do I find open TN-eligible jobs at VNS Health?
Migrate Mate lists VNS Health positions filtered by employers who support TN admission, so you can identify openings in home health and clinical services without manually screening each posting. Focus your search on roles tied to USMCA-listed professions and confirm your New York licensure status before applying to avoid delays after an offer is extended.
How does TN visa admission work at VNS Health?
TN status is granted under the USMCA treaty — there is no USCIS petition or Labor Condition Application required. Canadian citizens can apply directly at a U.S. port of entry with an offer letter from VNS Health, while Mexican citizens must first obtain a TN visa at a U.S. consulate. The role must match one of the professions listed in USMCA Appendix 1603.D.1. Migrate Mate filters TN job listings to roles that fall within the eligible profession list.
