Align your credentials to retail procurement
Ulta's procurement team focuses on indirect spend, supplier diversity, and retail-scale sourcing. Tailor your resume to show experience with vendor negotiations, category management, or supply chain cost reduction in consumer-facing or retail environments before you apply.
Target roles matching your current visa status
Ulta has sponsored across TN, F-1 OPT, and immigrant visa categories. Before applying, confirm whether the specific role aligns with your current status, since OPT authorization for procurement roles depends on your degree field matching the position's specialty occupation classification.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Ulta procurement openings
Ulta regularly posts multiple procurement roles across seniority levels. Use Migrate Mate to surface active openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility so you're applying to positions where sponsorship has been extended for this function.
Request PERM sponsorship conversations early
If your goal is a Green Card through EB-2 or EB-3, raise it during the offer stage, not after you've accepted. Retail procurement roles at large employers like Ulta can support PERM filings, but the process requires employer commitment before your start date.
Prepare for a skills-based specialty occupation argument
Procurement roles in retail don't always carry automatic H-1B specialty occupation approval. Strengthen your application by documenting how your role requires at least a bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or a related field, and that the position's duties are theoretical and practical in nature.
Time your application around Ulta's hiring cycles
Ulta's corporate procurement hiring tends to increase ahead of peak retail seasons. Applying in early Q1 or late Q3 positions you ahead of headcount approvals, which matters when sponsorship requires internal budget sign-off before a formal offer can include visa support.

Find Procurement at Ulta JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Ulta sponsor H-1B visas for Procurement roles?
Ulta's sponsorship history for Procurement includes immigrant visa categories like EB-2 and EB-3, as well as F-1 OPT and TN. H-1B sponsorship for procurement positions depends on the specific role meeting USCIS specialty occupation standards, which requires demonstrating that the job normally requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field. Candidates should confirm sponsorship intent with the recruiter before advancing in the process.
How do I apply for Procurement jobs at Ulta?
Applications go through Ulta's careers portal, where procurement roles are listed under corporate or supply chain functions. Migrate Mate lets you browse Ulta's open procurement positions filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you can identify roles where international candidates have been considered. Tailor your resume to retail sourcing and supply chain cost management before applying, since Ulta's procurement team prioritizes industry-relevant experience.
Which visa types are commonly used for Procurement roles at Ulta?
Ulta has extended sponsorship across F-1 OPT, TN, EB-2, and EB-3 categories for procurement functions. F-1 CPT has also been used, typically for co-op or internship-track procurement roles. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or analyst roles. Immigrant visa pathways like EB-2 and EB-3 require a longer commitment from both the candidate and employer through the PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications are expected for Procurement roles at Ulta?
Ulta's procurement team typically looks for a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, finance, or a related field. Hands-on experience with vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, or indirect spend management in a retail or consumer goods environment strengthens your candidacy significantly. For senior roles, familiarity with enterprise procurement platforms and supplier diversity programs is often expected. International candidates should also be prepared to speak to their work authorization timeline during screening.
How long does the sponsorship and hiring process take for Procurement roles at Ulta?
From application to offer, Ulta's corporate hiring process typically runs four to eight weeks. If your role requires an H-1B, USCIS standard processing adds three to six months after the petition is filed, while premium processing shortens that to 15 business days. PERM-based immigrant visa sponsorship involves DOL labor certification, which can take one to two years before an I-140 petition is filed. Starting conversations about sponsorship early in the offer stage reduces delays.
