Frame Your Experience Around Aviation Supply Chains
Procurement roles at airline ground handlers like Worldwide Flight Services center on sourcing equipment, managing vendor contracts, and controlling operational costs. Tailor your resume to show direct experience with logistics suppliers, MRO procurement, or cargo-related vendor management rather than general purchasing.
Identify Open Roles Before Contacting HR
Worldwide Flight Services posts Procurement openings across multiple airport locations. Search by location and function to find roles aligned with your background, then reach out directly to hiring managers. Use Migrate Mate to filter for open Procurement positions at Worldwide Flight Services that offer visa sponsorship.
Confirm Sponsorship Willingness Early in Interviews
Ask directly during the first interview whether the specific role and location are approved for H-1B sponsorship. Ground handling companies sometimes distinguish between corporate and operational procurement roles when making sponsorship decisions, so confirming upfront avoids wasted time on either side.
Understand the H-1B Cap and Lottery Timing
If you're not already in H-1B status, your employer must register you in the USCIS lottery, which opens in March each year with an October 1 start date. Plan your job search timeline around this window so an offer doesn't arrive too late to file.
Prepare Your Specialty Occupation Documentation Now
USCIS requires Procurement roles to qualify as specialty occupations, meaning a bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or a related field must be standard for the position. Gather your degree certificates, transcripts, and any credential evaluations before you receive an offer to avoid delays once your employer initiates filing.
Account for the Labor Condition Application in Your Timeline
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition to USCIS. This step typically takes one to two weeks and must be completed before the full petition can be assembled, so build that window into your expected start date.

Does Worldwide Flight Services sponsor H-1B visas for Procurements?
Yes, Worldwide Flight Services has sponsored H-1B visas for Procurement roles. Sponsorship decisions are made on a role-by-role and location-by-location basis, so you'll want to confirm that the specific position you're applying for is approved for sponsorship during the interview process. Having your documentation ready before an offer speeds up the filing timeline significantly.
How do I apply for Procurement jobs at Worldwide Flight Services?
Applications go through the Worldwide Flight Services careers portal, where Procurement roles are listed by location and function. You can also browse and filter open Procurement positions that offer visa sponsorship directly through Migrate Mate, which surfaces sponsoring employers in the aviation industry. Tailoring your application to aviation-specific sourcing and vendor management experience improves your chances at the screening stage.
Which visa types are commonly used for Procurement roles at Worldwide Flight Services?
The H-1B is the primary visa used for Procurement professionals at Worldwide Flight Services. This category suits roles requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Candidates already holding L-1 status through an intracompany transfer or O-1 status based on extraordinary ability may also be eligible depending on their background.
What qualifications and experience are expected for Procurement roles at Worldwide Flight Services?
Most Procurement positions require a bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or operations management, along with hands-on experience in vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, or logistics procurement. Aviation or ground handling industry experience is a strong differentiator. Familiarity with procurement systems, cost control practices, and supplier compliance documentation is expected at the mid-level and above.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take for a Procurement offer at Worldwide Flight Services?
Once you have a signed offer, your employer typically needs one to two weeks to file the Labor Condition Application with the DOL and another few weeks to prepare the full H-1B petition for USCIS. Standard USCIS processing runs three to six months. If you're subject to the annual cap, employment can't begin before October 1 of the fiscal year for which you were selected.
