Align your credentials to state licensure requirements
Youth Villages operates across multiple states, and clinical roles often require state-specific licensure. Confirm your credentials are transferable or eligible for endorsement in the state where the role is based before applying.
Target roles that match your degree field exactly
Healthcare sponsorship at Youth Villages typically requires that your degree aligns directly with the job title. A social work or counseling degree supports clinical roles, but a general health sciences background may not clear USCIS specialty occupation review.
Find open Healthcare roles through Migrate Mate
Browse current Healthcare openings at Youth Villages on Migrate Mate, which filters jobs by visa sponsorship type so you can identify which roles align with your H-1B, TN, or OPT status before you apply.
Request a PERM-neutral job description in writing
For Green Card pathways, the job duties and minimum requirements in your offer letter must match a future PERM labor certification exactly. Ask that your role description not list experience above the true minimum to avoid DOL audit risk later.
Prepare clinical documentation before the H-1B filing window
USCIS requires detailed evidence for Healthcare petitions, including licensure, transcripts, and employer support letters. Have these ready before the April H-1B registration period so Youth Villages can file without delays.

Does Youth Villages sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcares?
Yes, Youth Villages sponsors H-1B visas for Healthcare roles where the position qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Clinical and direct-care roles requiring a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as social work, psychology, or counseling, are the most viable candidates. Your employer will need to file the H-1B petition after the annual lottery registration in March.
How do I apply for Healthcare jobs at Youth Villages?
Apply directly through Youth Villages' careers portal, but first confirm the role lists visa sponsorship as available. Tailor your resume to the specific population Youth Villages serves, which is primarily children and families in crisis or therapeutic care settings. Mention your visa status clearly in your application or early in the recruiter screen to avoid late-stage surprises. You can browse open roles filtered by sponsorship type on Migrate Mate.
Which visa types are commonly used for Healthcare roles at Youth Villages?
Youth Villages has sponsored H-1B, TN, J-1, and F-1 OPT and CPT visas for Healthcare positions. H-1B is the most common path for long-term employment in clinical roles. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying Healthcare occupations listed under the USMCA. J-1 may be used for training or exchange roles, and F-1 OPT provides a bridge for recent graduates while an H-1B is being pursued.
What qualifications and experience does Youth Villages expect for Healthcare roles?
Most clinical Healthcare positions at Youth Villages require a bachelor's or master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a closely related field. State licensure or eligibility for licensure is often required, particularly for therapist and case management roles. Experience working with youth, trauma-informed care, or in residential treatment settings strengthens your candidacy significantly. Some roles carry specific accreditation requirements that you'll need to verify against the job posting.
How do I time my application around the H-1B filing season?
USCIS opens H-1B lottery registration in early March, with petitions filed for an October 1 start date. To meet this window, you need an offer and a completed LCA filing with the DOL at least several weeks before the April filing deadline. If you're on F-1 OPT, ensure your authorization doesn't expire before October 1, and confirm with Youth Villages HR that they'll support a timely filing to maintain cap-gap coverage if needed.
