Client is looking for an experienced Estimator. The ideal candidate possesses construction knowledge in estimating.
JOB DUTIES:
- Analyze documents, blueprints, and project plans to obtain a thorough understanding of the project.
- Determine what factors of production will influence the costs of product and service.
- Prepare material estimates and costs estimates for the product and service.
- Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors, builders and company team members.
- Manage bids from vendors and contractors.
- Prepare detailed cost analysis using bid data.
- Present prepared estimate to Management and other Stakeholders.
- Adjust estimates based on changes and updates on projects.
- Final Bid sent to Stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong Organizational Skills.
- Ability to take ownership of duties with good follow through and perform all tasks described above with minimum supervision.
- Ability to communicate well with outside customers and subcontractors as well as all levels of internal management and coworkers.
- Ability to balance workload and prioritize in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Ability to produce timely results of high quality and accuracy.
- Must have imagination and strong problem-solving skills, with a strong technical orientation.
- Ability to weigh decisions carefully and thoroughly based on expertise in order to avoid unpredictable risk.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3-5 years of construction experience.
- Good Computer skills.
- CAD, Bluebeam or Blueprint reading required.
- Bi-Lingual skills a plus.
