Data Integration Developer Jobs in Idaho: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a data integration developer in Idaho?
The most direct path is a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or software engineering, followed by hands-on experience with ETL tools and database platforms. Idaho does not require a state-issued license for this role. Employers in Boise's tech corridor and at institutions like Idaho National Laboratory typically expect demonstrated project work, so building a portfolio of integration projects strengthens your candidacy considerably.
How much do data integration developers make in Idaho?
Data integration developers in Idaho earn a median of about $131,590 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $71,030 for the lowest 10% to over $178,980 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire data integration developers in Idaho?
Employers hiring data integration developers in Idaho right now include Micron Technology, Micron Idaho Semiconductor Manufacturing (Triton), and Photronics, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Idaho's technology hiring is anchored by semiconductor manufacturing, federal research, and growing healthcare networks, all of which depend on robust data integration to connect systems across operations.
Which Idaho cities have the most data integration developer jobs?
Boise, Idaho, and Lewiston lead Idaho for data integration developer openings. Boise drives the majority of demand as the state's dominant technology and business hub, home to Micron Technology, several regional health systems, and a growing cluster of software companies, while Nampa and Coeur d'Alene contribute openings tied to manufacturing operations and expanding professional services firms.
Are there remote data integration developer jobs in Idaho?
Yes, and more than most fields. Data integration development is fundamentally desk-based work involving code, pipelines, and cloud platforms, making it well suited to remote arrangements. About 3% of data integration developer openings tied to Idaho are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the role's portability. Pipeline design, API development, and cloud configuration work are the tasks most commonly performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a data integration developer in Idaho with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to junior data analyst or database administrator roles at Idaho employers, then moving laterally into integration work once you have pipeline exposure. Micron Technology and Idaho National Laboratory both offer new-graduate technical programs worth targeting. Building a demonstrable portfolio of ETL projects using free tools like Apache NiFi or SSIS, combined with a cloud platform certification, gives candidates with limited formal experience a concrete edge in Idaho applications.
Where can I find and apply to data integration developer jobs in Idaho?
You can find and apply to data integration developer jobs in Idaho on Migrate Mate, which lists current Idaho openings. Search the listings to find roles that match your skills and experience level, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
