ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Senior Data Management Technical Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in designing, delivering, and scaling data models, analytics and management principals to power next-generation wealth management solutions. You will operate at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and applied AI, translating complex business and research needs into robust, production-grade data solutions.
This is a senior individual contributor role with strong business and technology design ownership. You will lead data-focused solution design across the full lifecycle—from data sourcing and modeling to analytics, visualization, security, and integration with AI/ML and application platforms. The role requires both hands-on technical depth and the ability to influence architecture, standards, and best practices across the Wealth R&D portfolio.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Wealth Research & Development (R&D) team is a strategic innovation hub focused on building next-generation wealth management solutions. We operate at the intersection of application engineering, AI-enabled capabilities, and human-centered design, rapidly designing, prototyping and validating solutions that can scale across the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design and delivery of data-centric solutions that support analytics, AI/ML, and digital wealth use cases ensuring efficient data management and processing and maintaining a high level of data security and protection
- Partner with product managers, researchers, and engineers to translate business questions into data requirements, models, and analytical outputs
- Analyze, profile, and transform structured and semi-structured data to ensure high data quality, reliability, and usability
- Define data models to support differentiated data requirements across the application clients
- Define and document data models, metrics, and analytical logic used across dashboards, prototypes, and production systems
- Develop analytics, dashboards, and exploratory analysis to surface insights and evaluate solution performance
- Collaborate with application and AI teams to integrate data platforms with APIs, services, and AI/ML workflows
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and tooling for data ingestion, analytics, governance, and observability
- Document standards for managing personal, confidential and other sensitive information to ensure all data used and persisted is clearly understood in terms of use, persistence, masking and encrypting where appropriate
- Support proof-of-concept and pilot initiatives, while ensuring designs can scale to enterprise-grade, production solutions
- Work with AI and Application Engineers to support data management for observability, telemetry and audit logs generated via the AI Agents to ensure efficient storage, rapid recall and assessment by surveillance and oversight services
- Contribute to data standards, governance practices, and knowledge-sharing across the Wealth R&D organization
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Strong hands-on experience with data analysis and data engineering using Python
- Expert level proficiency with relational data modeling and managing structured, semi-structured and non-structured data in an enterprise solution
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines, analytics workflows, and data integrations
- Strong experience supporting full‑stack applications for web and/or mobile platforms
- Understanding of Python for backend development and data-driven services
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications in the cloud (Microsoft Azure, AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience with databases and data access (SQL and/or NoSQL)
- Experience working with personal and confidential data
- Experience working in a highly regulated financial services data environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience delivering production-grade web or mobile applications
- Experience in financial services or other regulated environments
- Experience with cloud-native architectures (microservices, serverless, managed services)
- Experience integrating applications with AI/ML or LLM-powered services
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code concepts
- Experience designing, managing or building scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices
- Experience with a broad range of data management tools and solutions including leading edge research on soon to be released solutions

SALARY RANGE
$120,000 - $202,500 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
