Engineers work across electrical, digital, analog, embedded, and systems engineering domains to design, integrate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain Sim/Stim hardware throughout its lifecycle. This includes hands-on work with signal conditioning, power distribution, FPGA-driven hardware, rack-level integration, cable harnessing, wiring, analog/digital interfaces, and control electronics used throughout the Sim/Stim portfolio.
This is an opportunity to work with a diverse group of engineers with a strong reputation for producing quality products that greatly support the US NAVY. NEO boasts lab space in addition to development assets that support Sim/Stim development and offers the opportunity to work on large technically challenging projects, but with the flexibility and personal feel of a small office environment. - Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Computer or Systems Engineering
- 0-5 years of post-graduate engineering experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance through the Department of Defense
- Experience developing requirements specifications, test procedures, test reports and technical manuals
- Working knowledge of JIRA, Git, or GitLab
- Experience using standard lab test equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, power supply, signal generator)
- Exposure to schematic tools (ex. OrCAD, Multisim, etc.)
- Experience with PCB Design
- Understanding of system‑level interfacing (I2C, SPI, UART, basic networking)
- Experience with standard communication buses used for system interfacing (I2C, SPI, UART, and MODBUS)
- Experience designing analog circuits, including operational amplifiers, filters, and voltage dividers
- Hands-on experience interfacing with sensors (temperature, pressure, position etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot system and hardware problems
- Understanding of noise reduction techniques, grounding, and shielding in mixed-signal systems
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for creating 3D models of components, wiring harnesses, and associated mechanical mounting hardware
- Experience with LabVIEW
- Experience interfacing National Instruments hardware or other PCI based platforms
- Proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming for microcontroller-based systems
- Proficiency in Arduino-based concepts
- Hands-on experience with FPGA synthesis and implementation tools
- Network concepts, programming, and experience with tools such as Wireshark
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, schedule, and complete work independently from start to finish.
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills to build partnerships and thrive within a strong team environment.
- Self-starter attitude with the proven ability to take initiative, identify needs, and drive tasks forward to completion with minimal oversight
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
- Understanding of analog and digital circuit concepts, including op-amps, filters, voltage dividers, ADC/DAC fundamentals (from coursework or projects)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to apply attention to detail, technical rigor, problem-solving, and multi-tasking to technical assignments
