The Opportunity
We're seeking a compassionate and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our team as a Hybrid Lead Provider, supporting both our Pittsfield urgent care clinic and virtual urgent care operations.
This is a unique full-time hybrid opportunity designed for a high-caliber Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) who thrives in both collaborative in-person environments and innovative telemedicine care delivery.
In this role, you'll serve as a clinical leader and mentor within our Pittsfield clinic while also extending access to care through scheduled virtual urgent care shifts. The ideal candidate is based in or near Western Massachusetts and able to work onsite in Pittsfield as well as remotely from home.
This role is perfect for a provider who values mentorship, clinical excellence, operational flexibility, and patient-centered care across multiple care settings.
Shift Structure
- Full-time hybrid role
- Schedule consists of three 12.5-hour shifts per week (remote or onsite, depending on operational needs)
- Weekend rotation expectations apply
- Must be able to remain patient-facing for up to 12.5 hours per shift in a fast-paced clinical environment, including but not limited to standing, walking, and moving throughout the clinic
Your Impact

Provide Exceptional Patient Care:
-
Conduct health assessments, physical exams, and review medical histories to address short- and long-term patient needs while remaining committed to high-quality, efficient care.
- Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining and updating medical histories.
- Determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests (e.g., x-rays, electrocardiograms, laboratory studies) and interpreting results.
- Perform therapeutic procedures including injections, immunizations, suturing, and management of wounds and infections.

Deliver patient-focused care through both in-person and telemedicine visits, treating a broad range of urgent care illnesses and injuries.

Lead Clinical Operations & Team Development:

Act as a clinical leader for providers and clinic staff, especially when the Practice Manager is not onsite.
- Mentor and support new graduate providers as well as allied healthcare professionals.
- Serve as a preceptor for new provider staff, creating educational and experiential growth opportunities.

Help foster a collaborative, accountable, and patient-centered clinic culture.

Support Virtual Care & Access:

Help load-balance patient volume between in-clinic and telemedicine services to support timely patient access.
- Deliver high-quality virtual urgent care visits while maintaining strong clinical judgment and patient engagement.

Adapt care delivery appropriately across both onsite and remote settings.

Educate & Empower Patients:

Counsel patients on therapeutic regimens, wellness, preventative care, family planning, and health maintenance.

Support patients through compassionate communication and thoughtful guidance.

Documentation & Compliance:

Maintain clear, complete, accurate, and timely medical records within the EMR system.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable state and federal regulations.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment while adhering to infection-control standards and clinical protocols.

Continuing Education & Professional Development:

Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, professional societies, and continuing education opportunities.
- Stay informed on emerging industry standards, clinical best practices, and legislative updates.
Who You Are
-
Education, Licensure, & Certifications:
-
Master's degree and certification by Physician Assistant (PA) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certifying body.
- Must have and maintain a DEA license in Massachusetts with no restrictions.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. (CPR, ACLS, and online-only certifications are not accepted.)

Experience & Leadership:

Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, ambulatory care, and/or telemedicine strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a passion for mentorship and team development.

Comfortable balancing both onsite and remote clinical responsibilities.

Skills & Attributes:

Excellent collaborator who enjoys working within a strong team environment.
- Proactive and confident communicator, both written and verbal.
- Compassionate, authentic, and deeply patient-focused.

Technically savvy and comfortable navigating EMR systems and virtual care platforms.

Additional Requirements:

Must reside in or near Western Massachusetts and be able to reliably commute to Pittsfield, MA for onsite clinical shifts.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule consisting of onsite urgent care shifts and remote virtual urgent care coverage.
