INTRODUCTION
NOVA Engineering & Environmental is looking for a Geotechnical Field Engineer to help manage a wide variety of geotechnical projects based out of our Kennesaw, GA office. You will provide engineering and consulting services for a broad array of projects and clients. This may include performing and/or leading field investigations, engineering analysis, calculations, and recommendations, design and development of plans and specifications, and the writing, preparation, and review of related reports for the services provided.
Responsibilities:
- Operating and maintaining geotechnical testing equipment.
- Classifying soil, rock, and geological samples obtained from drilling operations.
- Assist in developing the scope and budget of work for routine projects.
- Analyze data, perform engineering calculations and analysis, and reporting data to clients under the direction of a Professional Engineer.
- Interacts with client and project team.
- Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or similar degree is required
- 0 - 3 years applicable experience (willing to accept entry-level applicants)
- E.I.T. required or ability to obtain within 3 months
- Strong communication skills
- Position entails approximately 90% fieldwork and 10% office work.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to pass a background check and MVR report
