Job Description:
The Financial Analyst III – Commercial Finance serves as a key finance partner supporting commercial activities for the business unit. This role provides financial analysis and decision support related to pricing, revenue, and margin performance to help drive profitable growth. The analyst works closely with cross-functional teams to improve forecast accuracy, enhance reporting visibility, and translate business activity into actionable insights. This position contributes to disciplined decision-making and strengthens alignment between commercial strategy and financial outcomes.
Primary Duties
- Partner with commercial and business unit teams to support pricing decisions, sales performance, and revenue growth initiatives.
- Analyze bookings, backlog, shipments, and pricing trends to identify risks, opportunities, and actionable insights.
- Support the evaluation of customer opportunities, pricing actions, and commercial terms through structured financial analysis.
- Prepare recurring reporting and dashboards to improve visibility into revenue, margins, and key business drivers.
- Assist with forecasting, planning, and reforecasting processes to support sales and margin expectations.
- Perform variance analysis comparing actual results to plan and prior periods, and communicate key drivers and implications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align commercial assumptions with operational and financial outcomes.
- Contribute to improvements in reporting processes, data quality, and analytical tools.
- Support ad hoc analysis and business cases for strategic initiatives and decision-making.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; 4+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, commercial finance, or related analytical finance roles, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or operational environments preferred.
- Experience supporting pricing, forecasting, or sales performance analysis preferred.

- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Ability to interpret business activity and connect it to financial outcomes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions.
- Proficiency in analyzing large data sets and identifying trends.
Essential Mental and Physical Functions:
- Frequent use of computer systems for financial analysis and reporting.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while analyzing data and preparing reports.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy.
- Occasional walking and standing during operational reviews or meetings.
- Ability to focus on detailed work for sustained periods.
Work Environment:
- Perform all tasks primarily in an office-based environment.
- Regular interaction and collaboration with cross-functional business teams.
- Occasional exposure to manufacturing or operational areas with varying noise levels.
- Compliance with all applicable safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required when in operational areas.
