What You’ll Be Doing
As the IT Stockroom Analyst you’ll be responsible for manage inventory items, perform inventory analysis, and control our day-to-day inventory operations. You’ll be joining the ITAM team within CIBC’s US Technical Operations organization and will be a subject matter expert on ITAM practices, and provide advisory to project and operational teams. You place and track inventory requests to ensure optimal stock levels, collaborate with Hardware Asset Managers to maximize stock utilization and minimize overstock and document and resolve inventory discrepancies. You ensure compliance with CIBC US Regional ITAM Program processes and continual improvement strategies, contribute to maintaining inventory data quality and completeness across all asset classes. You support hardware acquisition, management, and disposal processes in accordance with corporate policies, standards, and regulations. Additionally, maintain and enhance inventory reports to support IT Asset visibility and performance, optimize IT asset inventory management processes, including tracking accountability, location, maintenance, contracts, and lifecycle status.

How You’ll Succeed
Leverage Technology: Utilize databases, spreadsheets, and digital reporting tools to manage and analyze inventory. You must have excellent computer skills, be familiar with databases and spreadsheets, and must also be able to analyze inventory statistics using software programs.
Organizational Excellence : Demonstrate strong organizational, mathematical, and analytical skills to ensure inventory accuracy.
Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of accuracy in all inventory management activities.
Customer Focus: Provide exceptional service to internal stakeholders and support ITAM initiatives. You will foster ideation and impact our digital and agile transformation by enhancing our clients’ banking experience.
Effective Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate inventory insights clearly.
Hardware Acquisition/Management : You support hardware acquisition, management, and disposal processes in accordance with corporate policies, standards, and regulations. Additionally, maintain and enhance inventory reports to support IT Asset visibility and performance, optimize IT asset inventory management processes, including tracking accountability, location, maintenance, contracts, and lifecycle status. Experience developing operational and performance metrics reports.
Who You Are
You demonstrate 1-3 years of experience in IT Asset Management or Desktop Support function within large enterprise environments, including practical knowledge of end user hardware and software, and implementation. You possess hands-on experience with ServiceNow and Hardware and Software Asset Management (HAM/SAM Pro) and configurations is an asset.
You have a proven ability to contribute to Continual Service Improvement initiatives and remediate operational issues. Perform and assist with IT inventory analysis and reporting, guide stockroom staff on inventory maintenance and management activities, analyze inventory data to identify trends and underperforming products. Understanding or awareness of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) frameworks is an plus.
You have a Degree. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience; ITIL v4 Foundation certification preferred.
You’re digitally savvy. You seek out innovative solutions and embrace leading-edge technologies. You can easily adapt to new tools and trends.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 for the Chicago market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
