Registered Nurse (RN) Labor and Delivery
Status/FTE: FT / 1.0 FTE
Shift length: 12 hours
Start Time: 1900
Unit: Labor & Delivery
Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Three (3) 12-hour shifts weekly, every third weekend and holidays by rotation
Required qualifications:
Current state RN license
Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
ACLS and NRP are required within six (6) months of hire
* One (1) year of inpatient L&D experience
Preferred qualifications:
BSN preferred
Three (3) to Five (5) years of L&D experience
* RNC-OB and/or RNC-EFM Certification
Additional Information/Department information:
The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the clinical setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. The RN is knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.
