Job Description
The UW Medical Center – Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join its facilities team.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Plant Engineering Department at the UW Medical Center – Northwest helps UW Medicine fulfill its mission to improve the health of the public by ensuring general maintenance and repairs are completed efficiently and quickly to maintain a safe patient care environment.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine maintenance, repair and troubleshooting work throughout the hospital.
- Completes work orders in a timely and efficient manner and communicates completion of work order to the requestor and Senior Lead Engineer.
- Performs preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and structural systems.
- Facilitates quality and professional grade repairs.
- Identifies potential maintenance and safety problems and notifies the Facilities Manager of all such hazards and recommends repairs as appropriate.
- Acts as a project coordinator with outside vendors.
- Utilizes safe work habits and maintains work area in an orderly manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED
- 3rd Grade Boiler license from the City of Seattle
- 2+ years maintenance experience
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
Pay Range Minimum:
$35.83 hourly
Pay Range Maximum:
$52.11 hourly
