Job Summary

Priority Property Maintenance is seeking a skilled, dependable, and customer-focused Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform a variety of residential and commercial property maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks across multiple client properties.

The ideal candidate has experience in general maintenance, troubleshooting, carpentry, painting, basic plumbing, and electrical repairs. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, can work independently, and is committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform general property maintenance and repair work
• Complete drywall repairs, patching, finishing, and painting
• Install, repair, and replace flooring, trim, doors, and hardware
• Troubleshoot and perform basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, and fixtures
• Troubleshoot and perform basic electrical repairs, including outlets, switches, lighting, and fixtures
• Complete interior and exterior maintenance projects
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and identify potential issues
• Repair siding, sidewalks, fences, and other property features as needed
• Install appliances, fixtures, shelving, and other building components
• Maintain clean and organized job sites
• Communicate professionally with property managers, tenants, and customers
• Document completed work and report maintenance needs to management
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Located close to our service area of far North-West Chicago and surrounding suburbs
• 2+ years of maintenance, handyman, construction, or related experience preferred
• Working knowledge of carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Owns a basic set of tools. The company will provide job specific or specialized tools as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical labor throughout the workday
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
