Beyond execution, you will act as a coach and change agent, mentoring teams to mature from “doing agile” to “being agile,” leveraging data-driven insights to continuously improve processes, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
This is a high-impact opportunity to shape how teams deliver at scale, bringing structure to complexity, accelerating time to value, and directly influencing the reliability and success of critical enterprise platforms.
What you have
- Drive agile delivery excellence by owning end-to-end Scrum execution for multiple teams by facilitating ceremonies, ensuring clear sprint outcomes, and driving predictable, high-quality delivery aligned to business priorities.

- Enable data-driven execution and transparency by leveraging delivery metrics to provide actionable insights, improve forecasting accuracy, and communicate clear, transparent status, risks, and capacity to stakeholders and leadership.
- Strengthen backlog readiness and planning discipline by partnering with Product Owners to ensure a well-refined, prioritized backlog, enabling teams to plan effectively and commit with confidence.
- Drive cross-team alignment by identifying and managing inter-team dependencies, facilitating coordinated planning, and standardizing practices where needed to enable seamless execution across the broader ecosystem.
- Protect team focus and capacity by shielding teams from unplanned work and context switching by reinforcing agile processes and ensuring work flows through structured backlog prioritization.
Required Qualifications

- 8+ years of professional experience in software development, project delivery, or technology roles, with 3+ years serving as a Scrum Master supporting two or more agile teams concurrently.

- Proven Scrum Master leadership experience managing one or more agile teams, with demonstrated success driving predictable, high-quality delivery.
- Deep expertise in Agile and Scrum practices, with the ability to effectively facilitate ceremonies and adapt frameworks to team maturity and organizational needs.
- Experience with Lean or scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) and the ability to apply these alongside Scrum where appropriate.

Master Data Management Jobs in Austin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a master data management job in Austin?
Target Austin's densest hiring sectors: enterprise software, semiconductors, financial technology, and healthcare systems. Companies in the Domain and downtown corridor regularly post master data management roles tied to ERP migrations, cloud data platforms, and regulatory compliance programs. Candidates with hands-on MDM tool experience, data governance frameworks, and familiarity with healthcare or fintech data standards stand out in Austin's market, where competition for senior roles is high but entry-level pipelines are growing through local tech employers.
Which companies hire master data managements in Austin?
Companies currently hiring master data managements in Austin include Qode, Tesla, and AbbVie, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Austin's employer mix skews toward large technology firms, regional banks and fintechs, health networks, and semiconductor manufacturers, all of which run complex data ecosystems that require dedicated master data management functions.
Are there remote master data management jobs in Austin?
Yes, master data management is well-suited to remote work because the role centers on data governance, tooling configuration, and cross-team coordination rather than physical presence. About 50% of master data management openings tied to Austin are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting broader tech-sector flexibility here. Data stewardship and governance tasks are most commonly offered remotely, while roles requiring close collaboration with on-site data engineering or operations teams tend to stay hybrid.
How can I get a master data management job in Austin with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Austin is through a data analyst or data steward role at one of the city's many mid-size software or healthcare companies, where MDM responsibilities get added over time. Austin's large health networks and fintech firms often hire junior data analysts who transition into MDM functions within one to two years. Building hands-on familiarity with tools like Informatica, Reltio, or Stibo, and earning a data governance certificate, gives candidates a concrete edge when applying to Austin employers at the entry level.
Which industries hire the most master data managements in Austin?
Austin master data management roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Manufacturing, and Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Austin's rapid growth as a technology and financial services hub, combined with a large and expanding healthcare sector anchored by major hospital systems, creates sustained demand for master data management professionals who can govern complex, high-volume data across enterprise systems.
