Our Marine organization is a trusted provider of innovative solutions for the worldwide boating and boat building industry, and we recently expanded our scope to lead the boating industry into an electrified future. We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Master Scheduler. This position reports to the Materials Manager and will work in Sparta, TN.
As Master Scheduler of the Sparta, TN team, you will be involved in coordinating, planning, scheduling, products throughout their production process or cycle. The Master Scheduler/Production Planner will demonstrate the ability to support the Materials Manager and work independently with judgment and work well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment. They will schedule and plan production effectively; effectively communicate the schedule/production plan to manufacturing groups at all levels. The Scheduler will identify problems, assess manufacturing needs, problem solve and implement solutions in an effective and timely manner.
General Responsibilities
- Manage customer demand consistent with maximizing business performance and customer service levels.
- Develop a master production schedule based on changing customer and internal capacity considerations.
- Convert customer demand into a daily/weekly master production schedule, multiple department scheduling.
- Communicate significant changes on the production floor to the Production Manager and Customer Service.
- Monitor compliance and performance of production departments to published schedules, deviations.
- Assure all inputs to the planning system are regularly maintained.
- Optimize Finish Good inventory levels, improve inventory turn rate on finish good inventory, and reduce internal operating cost.
- Serve as a liaison to Customer Service providing lead times and delivery information.
- Establish and evaluate scheduling priorities.
- Resolve Supply, Demand, and Capacity issues while optimizing both labor and equipment utilization.
- Execute efficient schedules to drive 95% OTD or better.
- Perform all capacity planning activities and coordinate output with all production areas.
- Assess and implement ERP techniques needed to plan, schedule, control, measure, and evaluate the effectiveness of production operations.
- Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to Management team.
- Monitor and report any important changes in customer forecast.
- Maintain and add all customer related forecasts into ERP on quarterly basis.
- Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Communicate production schedule to team leads promptly.
- Manage load leveling and bottleneck scheduling and utilize the theory of constraints (TOC) for more accurate scheduling.
- Ensure the ERP system data elements related to planning are set to the correct parameters.
- Identify manufacturing variances weekly and reports them to the Finance team.
- Align ERP production schedules with customer requirements.

Skills & Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role will bring demonstrated success in (operational/engineering/manufacturing/etc.) environment. Additionally, they will have acquired the following qualifications and experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, operations management, or equivalent Master Scheduler/Production Planner experience.
- Excellent Microsoft Office programs knowledge.
- Strong computer skills.
