Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Math Teacher who loves Jesus to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for learners, focusing on their academic, social, emotional and spiritual development. This role requires a commitment to fostering a love for learning while implementing effective teaching strategies that align with our curriculum standards.
This job is ideal for a Christian teacher who loves teaching and making a difference in the lives of students, but is looking for a part-time opportunity. Our school is a hybrid program that meets on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Students school at-home on Wednesdays following the teacher-created lesson plan. Teachers are off on Wednesdays.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Teach math to middle school students ensuring they learn, grow and meet educational goals throughout the school year.
- Mentor students, providing guidance and support in their academic journey.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices.
- Establish clear expectations that encourage student participation and maintain an orderly and focused learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with students, parents, and staff
- A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive, Christ-focused learning environment.
