Job Summary
Objective
Run automated machinery to ensure that manufacturing procedures are carried out.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Works from specific verbal and/or written instructions and standard work instructions
- Makes routine adjustments/set ups of equipment for limited and readily definable and measurable variables such as length, temperature, or process speed.
- Loads raw material into the machine, completes minor changeovers, monitors machine operations, and inspects completed parts to ensure that job specifications are maintained.
- Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift.
- Maintain activity logs
- May participate in cross-training activities with other related positions
- Supports and participates in the Company’s management and quality system including continuous improvement efforts
- Notifies group leader or supervisor of any problems or non-conforming product
- Supports and implements the Environmental policy as it pertains to work activities
- Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Previous 2+ years of manufacturing assembly experience desired
- Ability to perform simple math computation
- Ability to develop and maintain a positive working relationship with others
- Ability to learn, understand and adhere to all applicable safety precautions and procedures

Physical Demand (Special Considerations)
Long periods of sitting or standing. Need excellent visual acuity to identify visual defects and manual dexterity to handle small components. Operator may lift materials weighing mostly under fifteen pounds.
