Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Network Engineer to join our innovative IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructure that supports our organization’s operational excellence. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity, security, and performance across diverse environments including data centers, cloud platforms, and enterprise networks. NOTE- Candidate Should have 15 Years of Experience
Duties
- Design, deploy, and optimize complex network solutions encompassing LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching), and SD-WAN technologies to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Configure and manage Cisco networking equipment such as routers, switches, ASA firewalls, Meraki devices, and Cisco ISE for network access control and security enforcement.
- Implement and maintain network security protocols including VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), IPsec, SSL/TLS encryption, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and vulnerability assessments to safeguard organizational data.
- Administer network infrastructure components like SAN (Storage Area Network), NFS (Network File System), DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), DNS (Domain Name System), LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), and GPO (Group Policy Objects).
- Monitor network performance using tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Splunk, and SolarWinds to identify issues proactively and perform troubleshooting to resolve connectivity or performance problems swiftly.
- Support cloud security initiatives by integrating AWS services, Azure solutions, virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere, Citrix environments, and containerization tools.
- Automate routine network tasks using scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell scripting), PowerShell, Python, and Ansible to enhance efficiency and consistency in system administration.
- Collaborate within Agile teams on SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) projects involving system upgrades, migrations, or new deployments ensuring minimal disruption.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential threats; implement remediation strategies aligned with ITIL best practices for incident management.
Experience
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level computer networking environments with a focus on high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
- Extensive hands-on knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP; network protocols including TCP/IP, UDP; and encryption standards like SSL/TLS for secure communications.
- Strong background working with Cisco IOS/ASA devices, Juniper routers/switches, Meraki cloud-managed networks, openSUSE/Linux distributions like Debian/Ubuntu/CentOS for system administration tasks.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere; cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure; SAN/NFS storage solutions; and open-source tools for network monitoring and management.
- Experience conducting vulnerability assessments using tools like Splunk or SolarWinds; implementing network security measures; managing Active Directory environments; and supporting telecommunication systems including VoIP/QoS configurations.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell for automation; understanding of DevOps practices; familiarity with ITIL frameworks for service management; and experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, CISSP or equivalent are highly desirable.
