Network Systems Administrator Jobs in Phoenix: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a network systems administrator job in Phoenix?
Target Phoenix's three strongest hiring clusters: the healthcare systems concentrated around central Phoenix, the financial services and fintech firms anchored in Tempe and Scottsdale, and the defense and government contractors operating in Chandler and Mesa. Candidates with hands-on Cisco routing experience, active CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certifications, and familiarity with hybrid cloud environments stand out in this market. Applying directly to hospital networks, credit unions, and mid-size managed service providers gives you the best entry points locally.
Which companies hire network systems administrators in Phoenix?
Phoenix network systems administrator roles are posted by HonorHealth, CVS Health, and UnitedHealthcare and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The local market reflects a mix of large healthcare systems, regional banks, defense contractors, and managed service providers that rely on in-house network staff.
Are there remote network systems administrator jobs in Phoenix?
Yes, though with limits, since network systems administrator work is largely hands-on and tied to physical infrastructure. About 53% of network systems administrator openings tied to Phoenix are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with most fully remote roles focused on network monitoring, documentation, and tier-two support rather than on-site configuration and cabling.
How can I get a network systems administrator job in Phoenix with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Phoenix is through managed service providers in the Tempe and Chandler corridors, which routinely hire help desk and junior network technicians and promote from within. Roles titled network technician, IT support specialist, or NOC analyst serve as direct on-ramps. Phoenix's large healthcare employers and community college district IT departments also hire entry-level candidates, particularly those holding CompTIA A+ or Network+ and willing to start on a rotating shift schedule.
Which industries hire the most network systems administrators in Phoenix?
The sectors hiring the most network systems administrators in Phoenix are Healthcare & Medical Services, Technology & Software, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Phoenix's concentration of major hospital systems, regional financial institutions, and a growing base of defense and semiconductor manufacturers creates steady baseline demand for network infrastructure staff across the metro.
