Nuclear Medicine Tech Jobs in Wilmington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a nuclear medicine tech job in Wilmington?
Target the health systems and hospital campuses clustered near Christiana and the medical district along the I-95 corridor, where the largest volume of nuclear medicine openings in Wilmington appears. Outpatient imaging centers and cardiology practices in the Greenville and Brandywine areas also hire regularly. Candidates with PET/CT experience and a current ARRT or NMTCB credential move fastest in this market.
Which companies hire nuclear medicine techs in Wilmington?
Employers hiring nuclear medicine techs in Wilmington right now include Sargent & Lundy and Nemours, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Wilmington's hiring is driven primarily by regional health systems, hospital-affiliated outpatient imaging facilities, and cardiology and oncology practices serving the greater New Castle County area.
Are there remote nuclear medicine tech jobs in Wilmington?
Yes, but only in a narrow slice of the field. Nuclear medicine techs perform hands-on imaging procedures, so most positions require full on-site presence. About 91% of nuclear medicine tech openings tied to Wilmington are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those roles tend to be in teleradiology review, quality assurance, or clinical training rather than direct patient scanning.
How can I get a nuclear medicine tech job in Wilmington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Wilmington is securing a clinical externship or registry-eligible position at one of the area's larger hospital systems during or immediately after your accredited program. Outpatient imaging centers in Wilmington and nearby Newark are more likely than large academic hospitals to hire new graduates for per-diem or part-time roles, which often convert to full-time. Strong PET or SPECT clinical hours from your program and a completed ARRT or NMTCB application set you apart locally.
Which industries hire the most nuclear medicine techs in Wilmington?
The sectors hiring the most nuclear medicine techs in Wilmington are Energy, Consulting & Professional Services, and Non-Profit & Social Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Wilmington's concentration of regional health systems and specialty care networks, combined with its proximity to Philadelphia-area referral pipelines, keeps demand in those sectors consistently active.
