INTRODUCTION
Park Avenue Villa is a 37-unit assisted living facility. Park Avenue Villa promotes independent living and provides a range of daily services including meals, housekeeping services, social events, personal care and 24-hour emergency response.
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medication Aide/Nursing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing quality personal care to our tenants, as well as supporting their physical and emotional well-being. This ad is for a full-time (30 hours per week), evening shift (1:45 PM to 10:00 PM) position. Rotating weekends and holidays are required. Retention bonus available to qualified new hires.
Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to:
- Administer prescribed medication in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
- Maintain accurate medication records and documentation.
- Follow care plans and communicate any changes in tenant condition to the nursing team.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse.
- Assist tenants with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Play a key role in building strong and meaningful relationships with our tenants.
- Assist with meal service.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
- Follow established safety and infection control policies and procedures.

- Capability to commute reliably to and from workplace in all weather conditions.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to communicate effectively and pleasantly with residents and teammates.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Must be at least 16 years of age and able to follow written and verbal direction. High school or equivalent education required.
Experience
Nursing Assistant (NA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification as well as Medication Assistant I qualification; related work experience in an assisted living facility preferred.
Specific Requirements
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, tenants, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
Must possess the ability and willingness to work professionally, independently, and have the flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with tenants, teammates, and support agencies.
Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult situations. Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
