Reports To: Medical/Surgical Unit Director
Status: 48-60 hours per two week pay period
Shift: 12 Hours - Rotating Shifts, rotating every third weekend/holiday
Job Schedule: Part time
Weekly Hours: 24-30

Job Summary
Performs a variety of nurse aide duties and functions to meet and exceed the customer's expectations while providing continuity of care to the patients we serve.

Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent work experience, including ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology.
- Certified Nurse Aide license in the state of South Dakota.
- Physical demands necessitate frequent assistance of patient which require knowledge and proper use of body mechanics. Requires standing or walking during the majority of the shift.
- Ability to communicate with co-workers, patients and visitors.
- Cross training is required.
Working Conditions:
Work involves one-to-one contact with patients and visitors and may involve exposure to communicable disease. Frequent exposure to the chemicals used in cleaning and disinfecting solutions.
Work is performed inside a well lighted, heated and air conditioned space. Work is intermittently moderate (exerting/lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly) to heavy (exerting/lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently or up to 20 pounds constantly) in using various types of equipment, moving furniture, and patients.
Work requires frequent walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, stretching, kneeling, crouching, feeling, talking, hearing and lifting.
Subject to inside environmental conditions (protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change) and to atmospheric conditions (one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases or poor ventilation).
