Focus your search on Chicago's Loop and West Loop, where technology platforms, professional services firms, and healthcare organizations concentrate the most partnership roles. Candidates who can show a history of closing channel or strategic alliances deals get the most callbacks here. Experience selling or managing relationships in fintech, B2B SaaS, or healthcare technology gives you a clear edge in Chicago's market over general business development backgrounds.

The parts of the role most likely to stay remote in Chicago are inbound partner onboarding, reporting, and account management for established relationships.
How can I get a partnership development manager job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Chicago is moving up from an account coordinator, sales development, or channel operations role at a technology or healthcare firm in the West Loop or Fulton Market corridor. Chicago-based companies like mid-size B2B SaaS firms frequently hire associates into partnership programs with a clear path to manager. Building a portfolio of co-marketing or referral partner projects, even in a prior role, distinguishes entry-level candidates in a market that values execution over credentials.
