INTRODUCTION
St. Mary’s College of Maryland is accepting applications for the contingent position of Accompanist for Music. Accompanists are temporary, ad hoc, non-tenure-track positions, hired to accompany specific activities for the Music program as needed. These may include lessons, rehearsals, and recitals. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications will vary according to position; minimum requirements include:
- Exceptional sightreading skills and ability to learn music quickly
- Strong knowledge of standard instrumental repertoire
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.
