ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients, take medical histories, and perform physical examinations
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, ECGs, and other diagnostic studies
- Diagnose and treat patients and develop appropriate care plans
- Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, injections, and other department-specific procedures
- Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress in the medical record
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and follow-up care
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges when required
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in quality improvement and clinical initiatives
- Mentor and support less experienced Physician Assistants
- Work evenings, weekends, or other schedules based on department needs
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience as a Physician Assistant within the last 5 years.
- Extensive experience in Emergency Department and/or Urgent Care.
- Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Active California Physician Assistant license required at hire.
- Physician Assistant National Certification (NCCPA) required.
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong clinical, communication, and patient-care skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment

Location: Folsom/Roseville, CA

Schedule: Various schedules, including evenings/weekends as needed
COMPENSATION
Salary: $175,200 – $264,800/year
Travel: Up to 50%
