Airgas is Hiring for a Plant Cylinder Inventory Coordinator in Sparks, NV!

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Cylinder Inventory Coordinator will contribute to the accuracy in inventory of full and empty cylinders and the raw liquids at the facility, while balancing inventory levels so the branch has the necessary resources to fulfill orders without accumulating excess dead stock.
- Support compliance with company policies including safety cultures and the proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Communicates professionally, respectfully, and effectively across all organizational levels.
- Verifies and helps maintain the accuracy of all part numbers and cylinder verifications.
- Keeps the database updated on inventory levels and adjusts target levels thoughtfully based on seasonality.
- Help maintain the separation of empties from full and in-use cylinders.
- Counts in and receives incoming cylinders, and collaborates with the Distribution Supervisor on trip load verification for drivers delivering cylinders to customers.
- Maintains the database with tickets, production data input and changes, cylinder movements, and raw material receipts in SAP on a frequent and daily basis.
- Place and process orders seamlessly through the AirGas.com/SAP system.
- Document cylinder gas inventory usage using the standard tools provided.
- Support compliance with all applicable facility guidelines, procedures, and Airgas Standards and regulatory guidelines including, but not limited to: SAFECOR, HS&E, CGMP, OSHA, etc.
- Provide supportive action during emergencies to ensure an uninterrupted supply of products.
- Conducts daily cylinder audits as scheduled to support the overall accuracy of inventory.
- Monitors and receives cylinder gas deliveries to help ensure accurate delivery documentation is completed.
- Conducts an inventory count of empty cylinders at specified intervals.
- Collaborates and builds alignment with the inside sales team and the plants to ensure seamless follow-through with customer service requirements and expectations.

ARE YOU A MATCH?
Required Qualifications:
- Two to five years of related experience required and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in industrial retail, inside sales, customer service, and/or inventory control-related position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- SAP or similar software system experience preferred.
- Intermediate skills in operating a computer preferred.
- Experience with Google Products (Gmail, Sheets, etc.) is recommended.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Well organized; creative problem solving; strong service orientation;
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence, and work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Make initial evaluations and then obtain proper assistance when confronted with problem situations.
COMPENSATION
The hourly base pay range for this position in Nevada is $23.00 - $26.00. Please note that the hourly base pay information is a general guideline only. Airgas considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
