Radiology Technologist Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a radiology technologist job in Atlanta?
Atlanta's strongest hiring comes from its dense cluster of health systems along the Medical Center corridor, outpatient imaging centers in Buckhead and Sandy Springs, and specialty clinics in Midtown and Peachtree City. Candidates with ARRT certification and experience on Siemens or GE equipment move fastest. Cross-training in CT or MRI alongside general radiography gives you a clear edge in this market.
Which companies hire radiology technologists in Atlanta?
Employers hiring radiology technologists in Atlanta right now include American Traveler, Emory Healthcare, and Kaiser Permanente, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Atlanta's employer mix runs from major academic medical centers and large for-profit hospital networks to independent outpatient imaging groups serving the metro's suburban communities.
Are there remote radiology technologist jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, though remote work is limited for this role since most positions require hands-on patient imaging. About 0% of radiology technologist openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those tend to concentrate in teleradiology quality review, PACS administration, and imaging informatics roles rather than direct patient care.
How can I get a radiology technologist job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Atlanta is completing a clinical externship at one of the metro's hospital systems or imaging centers, which often convert to hire. Atlanta-area community colleges and technical schools feed graduates into entry-level radiographer and imaging assistant roles at outpatient clinics in Decatur, Marietta, and Gwinnett. Volunteering at a local health system and obtaining your ARRT credential before graduation makes candidates noticeably more competitive with local hiring managers.
