INTRODUCTION
Jasper is the leading AI marketing platform, enabling the world's most innovative companies to reimagine their end-to-end marketing workflows and drive higher ROI through increased brand consistency, efficiency, and personalization at scale. Jasper has been recognized as "one of the Top 15 Most Innovative AI Companies of 2024" by Fast Company and is trusted by nearly 20% of the Fortune 500 – including Prudential, Ulta Beauty, and Wayfair. Founded in 2021, Jasper is a remote-first organization with team members across the US, France, and Australia.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Director of Product Design at Jasper, you will lead a small, fast-moving design team and define how marketers work with AI. This is a player-coach role for someone who has built and grown high-performing design teams without losing their own obsession with craft — the weight of a typeface, the rhythm of an interaction, the clarity of an information hierarchy — and who leads from the front in a new, AI-native way of building. You won't just direct the work; you'll be in it: prototyping, vibe coding, and shipping alongside the team. This role carries three things at its core. First, you'll guide the design strategy of Jasper and help define the future of how enterprise marketing teams use AI. You'll set the vision for what our product feels like to use and make the calls that shape where design takes the company. As our design leader, you'll maintain the highest standards of visual and interaction design across the product, with the kind of polish and consistency that enterprise customers paying six and seven figures expect. As a member of the EPD leadership team, you will also work alongside Product and Engineering leaders to keep evolving how we build software with AI. Jasper has already aggressively evolved how we use AI to build software, and we want to keep accelerating. On the design side, that means exploring emerging ways to use Cursor, Claude Code and Claude Design, operationalizing design-to-front-end pipelines, and setting up our design system and context to improve the ability of coding agents to use the right components and follow the right design patterns. This fully remote role reports to the Chief Product Officer and is open to candidates located anywhere in the continental US.
WHAT YOU WILL DO AT JASPER
- Own and guide the design strategy for Jasper, setting the vision for how enterprise marketing teams will work with AI and making the design calls that shape where the product and company go
- Maintain the highest standards of visual and interaction design across the product. Set and raise the bar on every surface, holding the line on polish and consistency that enterprise customers paying six and seven figures expect
- Lead a small, high-velocity design team as a player-coach — coaching and upleveling designers while staying deeply hands-on, prototyping and vibe coding with tools like Cursor and Claude Code and shipping real work to production
- As a member of the EPD leadership team, work alongside Product and Engineering leaders to keep evolving how Jasper builds software with AI
- Accelerate, innovate, and define AI-first ways of designing and AI-first design-to-front-end pipelines, pioneering how prototypes go from concept to working, production-ready code
- Extend Jasper's design system and the context and skills our coding agents rely on
- Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to define the problems worth solving and shape roadmaps that deliver on customer outcomes
- Build a high-trust, inclusive, feedback-driven design culture that values autonomy, learning, and accountability
- Establish and run the team's craft rituals — design critiques and reviews — that elevate quality and develop designers
- Coach and support designers in their career growth, fostering both craft and leadership development
- Play a key role in hiring, onboarding, and scaling the design organization as the team grows
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO JASPER
- 8+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates exceptional visual design craft and strong end-to-end product thinking
- 4+ years leading and managing design teams, with a track record of building and developing high-performing, high-craft teams in a high-growth SaaS or product-led environment
- A genuine player-coach: you can lead and uplevel a team and you remain proficient and hands-on yourself — equally comfortable coaching a designer and shipping the work
- Demonstrated experience building AI-first design workflows and design-to-front-end pipelines — you have hands-on fluency with AI-native and vibe coding tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, v0) and can point to real work you've shipped to production. This is non-negotiable at Jasper
- Proven ability to build and own a coherent, well-governed design system — you sweat the details and hold the bar so experiences feel consistent across every surface, the way enterprise buyers expect
- Outstanding UI and visual design judgment — a refined eye for typography, colour, layout, spacing, and hierarchy, and the ability to hold the team to it
- Working knowledge of front-end code (HTML, CSS, React/JSX) and fluency with modern design tools (Figma) — you can read, review, and riff in code when needed
- Experience designing for AI-native or AI-augmented products, with an understanding of the unique UX challenges they present (non-deterministic outputs, prompt interfaces, copilot patterns, trust and transparency)
- Background in B2B or enterprise SaaS, ideally at an AI-native company or one that has strongly pivoted to AI; go-to-market or marketing-adjacent product experience is a plus
- A pragmatist's mindset: you balance design ideals with business reality, shipping velocity, and engineering constraints without sacrificing quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale and influence across technical and business stakeholders, including leadership

Tips for Your Remote Senior Product Design Job Search
Show async collaboration in your portfolio
Remote hiring managers want to see how you communicate design decisions without a whiteboard. Add written design briefs, Loom walkthroughs of your process, or annotated Figma files to your portfolio so it demonstrates remote-ready craft, not just visual output.
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote senior product design openings from across the U.S. in one place. Search by role and apply directly to the ones that match your experience level and the type of product work you do best.
Target remote-first companies specifically
Remote-first firms design their product workflows around distributed collaboration, so you'll join a team that already knows how to work this way. Look for companies with distributed engineering and product orgs, because they integrate remote designers faster and give senior contributors more autonomy.
Prepare for async design critiques in interviews
Remote product design interviews often replace live whiteboard sessions with async take-home critiques or recorded walkthroughs. Practice presenting your case studies in writing and on video, walking through your decisions and tradeoffs as clearly as you would in a live room.
Document your remote design process visibly
Senior remote roles expect you to set standards, not just follow them. Highlight examples where you built shared design systems, wrote decision documentation, or ran async critique rituals that kept distributed teams aligned across time zones.
Remote Senior Product Design Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote senior product design job?
Target companies that operate fully remotely or run distributed product teams, because they build hiring processes and workflows around remote designers from day one. Remote employers screen for async communication skills, self-directed problem-solving, and the ability to drive alignment without in-person meetings. A portfolio that shows end-to-end process, clear design rationale, and measurable outcomes gives you a real edge over candidates whose work speaks only to execution.
Which companies hire remote senior product designs?
Remote senior product design roles are posted by Banner Health, YA, and MEADE ENGINEERING and others right now, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. The hiring tends to concentrate at remote-first technology companies, SaaS businesses, and fintech and healthtech firms that run distributed product teams.
Can you get a remote senior product design job with no experience?
Yes, but remote roles at the senior level are harder to land without experience because you're expected to operate independently from your first week. Entry paths that work include contract or freelance remote projects, open-source product contributions, and speculative case studies for real products. Showing async communication skills and a process-driven portfolio matters more to remote hiring managers than a traditional employment history.
Do you need a degree for remote senior product design jobs?
Not always. Remote employers in product design weigh portfolio quality, demonstrated systems thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills heavily alongside or instead of a formal degree. A strong case study that shows research, iteration, and measurable product impact will carry more weight in most remote hiring processes than the credential section of a resume.
Which industries hire the most remote senior product designs?
Remote senior product design roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Technology & Software, and Manufacturing, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Those sectors hire senior product designs remotely because their product teams are structured as distributed units that collaborate across time zones by default.
